His brothers wanted to kill him out of jealousy because of his blessings. God had blessed Joseph. Everything he touched was blessed. Even his superiors recognised the blessings on his life. If God has blessed you, the blessings are yours. Because Joseph was handsome the wife of Potiphar, wanted to sleep with him but Joseph said No, not me, I know my God will take me to where I need to be. I am blessed of the Lord. Potiphar s wife tried to trap him but he refused and ran away. Situation or no situation you must run away from evil. She then screamed so as to lay a false charge of rape against him. If God is with you and you have parted from your Lot wherever you are, you will make a difference. In jail Joseph was promoted and made the head of all the prisoners. Whatever you to touch will be blessed and you will not be a failure but a success. God showed himself in the life of Joseph. He prophesied to the chief baker and the chief butler and his prophecies came to pass. Those he helped in jail forgot about him when they were released from prison but this did not deter Joseph, they only remembered Joseph when the king had a dream which nobody could interpret and then they had no choice but to call Joseph. When Joseph came, God was with him as he had parted ways with his Lot. He was able to interpret the dream. Psalm 37:4, AMP: Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Joseph was delighting himself in the Lord; do you not want to delight yourself in the Lord? Joseph was able to interpret the dream and as a result he became a prime minister in a foreign land. His own brothers came and worshipped him. The same can happen to you: God says it is already raining; it is a time of blessings. Page 1 of 8
Please get rid of your Lot as God cannot release your blessings unto you because of your Lot. Go now and talk to your Lot: Let us part ways. I have my God and I don t need Lot in my life. Do it as soon as tomorrow. Don t come up with excuses as you will be stopping God from releasing your blessing unto you. Try and make sure that wherever you are in His presence all the time, this way you will not go wrong. Ex 4:1, 3 and 4: 1 AND MOSES answered, But behold, they will not believe me or listen to and obey my voice; for they will say, The Lord has not appeared to you. 3 And He said, Cast it on the ground. And he did so and it became a serpent [the symbol of royal and divine power worn on the crown of the Pharaohs]; and Moses fled from before it. 4 And the Lord said to Moses, Put forth your hand and take it by the tail. And he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand, AMP. God asked Moses what do you have in your hands and this is what od used. Just like with the prophet s wife who had oil. God wants to lknow aht you have. 2) The blessings of the Lord John 3:16 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. NIV. This means that we must be people who love and who give. Proverbs 10:22: 22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. KJV. You have given us Jesus and we want to live with Jesus inside of us and the blessings that he brings into our lives. 3) Wisdom from God Jer 9:23 23 This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, NIV. 4) Fear of the Lord Prov 9:10: 10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. NIV. God give us wisdom to fear you as without your wisdom we can t be fearful of the Lord and so that when we boast we only boast about you our God. 5) Grace to be doers of the word James 1:22: 22 But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. AMP. Give us the grace not to be hearers of the word oly but to be doers of the word. 6) Power from the Holy Spirit Acts 1:8: 8 But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. AMP. If you have no Holy Spirit in your life, you will have no power and you cannot witness God to the world. When you have the Holy Spirit you will be able to witness God wherever you are and you go. 7) Unity in the Holy Spirit John 17:20-21: 20 Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching, 21 That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me. When we have the Holy Spirit we will be united with others and when we are united we will not be defeated. United we stand but divided we shall fall. Give us the grace, oh God, to receive your Holy Spirit and to be united. 8) Praying in truth and in spirit Eph 6:18: 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. NIV. God needs true worshippers in the church not those who talk about it without any action. For e.g Women, men, youths, those who do not work can meet regularly to pray for the church and the work of God. We can form ourselves as groups to pray for the church and the work of God. We must do it from our hearts. John 4:23: 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. NIV. 9) Families Praying for our families, relatives, friends etc You can pray for your suffering relative so that God can intervene. God give us the same hedge that you built for Job so that when the devil looks for us he will not find us, so that we will be protected, preserved and kept under your protection. 10) 8 Heart of a child Matt 13:10: 10 The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" NIV. God give us heart of a child so that we can have the kingdom of God. Without a child s heart it will not be easy to forgive and to love but it is possible with the heart of child. Page 5 of 8
11) 10 Kids Quest Praying for the young children. Prov 22:6 AMP 6 Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it. [Eph 6:4; 2 Tim 3:15.] Let us raise our children in the Lord. They are the leaders, fathers and mothers of tomorrow so let s teach them the right things. 12) 11. The youth Eccl 12:1: Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them" NIV. Youth need God in their lives so that they can be sober and calm in their life. Without Jesus their lives become scattered. A time will come n your life when life is not enjoyable because you will have wasted your youth but if you are in Christ your youth and life will be preserved. When you come to church let it be about God and listen to the word of God whilst it is being preached. Look, learn form your role models. Receive Jesus Christ into your life before it is late. Jesus is your true friend. Pray for the youth, keep them, protect them, they are the leaders, pastors of tomorrow, youths who are responsible and accountable to God in their lifestyles. 13) 12. Chiefs, headmen to rule with peace Those who the rule must hear and obey them. Give them a spirit of wisdom and excellence to rule his land the way You want. 1 Tim 2:1-3: FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, 2 For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and Page 6 of 8
seriousness in every way. 3 For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior, AMP. Pray also for the pastors and church leadership and all the churches. Let the pastors and leaders serve God out of their hearts. 14) 13 Pastor and his family God keep the pastor and his family and when he opens his mouth give him your word continually. The church is fed the word of God by the pastor and it builds us up. When he leaves his house and family, keep protecting, preserving him and keep on blessing him as he is serving You. Give him deeper revelations of who you are and of your word. Eph 6:19: 19 And [pray] also for me, that [freedom of] utterance may be given me, that I may open my mouth to proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news (the Gospel), AMP. 15) 14 Lost souls Gal 6:1: 1 BRETHREN, IF any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also. AMP. Many people were in church but they are no longer here and they leave for different reasons. Let s pray for their souls so that they can come back and be fed as we are being fed and so that they can stand strong just as we are. Let the evil one loose his grip over their lives, their soula and their families in Jesus Christ s name. 16) 15. Weapons of warfare 2 Cor 10:4-6: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every Page 7 of 8
thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. KJV. 17) 16. Fiery Darts Eph 6:16: 16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. AMP. Faith to stand up and quench all the fiery darts of the enemy. 18) Praise and Worship Hie is worthy of the praise and worship.
