It s 2018 (Well it will be by the time you read this!)! I hope one of your New Year s Resolutions is to read the TSCC Newsletter each month this year Looking ahead to 2018, I want to encourage you in a few things. First, I want to introduce you to a year long focus for us for 2018 we are going to be looking at the people, the faith basics (theology), and application of the Bible this year by focusing in on 40 or so chapters of scripture. Really rooted. I will be presenting this in such a way as to facilitate you being able to read your bible all the way through this year, so you don t miss the context of those chapters. But in Any case, we will be going through the whole of scripture in this overview way, beginning with Genesis 1 and ending with Revelation 22 (we will take a few things out of order, but it will make sense when we get there). Second, we will be investing some significant time into leadership development over the course of the year. This will give us the ability to integrate existing ministry efforts with one another, and give us a framework to build new ministry efforts upon. Really ready to grow as God would lead. The best part its already a tried and true method of discipleship outlined in the New Testament, no wheel re-inventing!!! Thirdly we will continue our focus on our faith relatability we want our faith to be robust in that we can talk about it comfortably and confidently so as to bring others closer to Jesus as we continue growing closer to Jesus. We will continue offering resources for you to be able to carry what we talk about inside TSCC to the outside of where you live, in your hearts, in your homes, and in your here (both TSCC and wherever you are see 2 Corinthians 5:9) We will continue to serve alongside one another, learn from one another, encourage one another, and do life with one another. All to exalt and glorify God, and extend Christ in all directions! So Rooted. Ready. Relatable. The three R s of 2018. That s our aim. I am greatly honored to serve alongside you! TSCC Missionaries Matt & Brittaney Cazee Happy New Year! Your brother in Christ, Jim Save the Date ~ Sunday, January 7th ANNUAL MEETING and SOUP LUNCHEON
