Give them time and space to discuss and journal their feelings. While you are the teacher, kids are more likely to share deep fears and thoughts with their Knight Circle Leaders because they lead a small group through the entire Knights of God experience! Journals - While Journals play a huge part in your station, you do not need to prepare them. They should be prepared beforehand and you will simply hand out the next pages to add to their journal daily. The Circle leaders help kids tie them into their journal each day. Knights of God Page 6 Hello, Apprentices! Welcome to Knight Training. This is such an important training because this is where we read the Bible story and find out how Jesus wants us to live. We believe that how you live your life can change the world, and knights choose to live for God and for others before themselves. Lets all start by saying the Knights Code. This is the way we as Knights want to live our lives and live for what is good and right in this world. (RECITE Knights Code now) Now, to start our Knights Training. Now, sometimes, we ll ask you to help, or get up and get involved. Sometimes we ll ask you to sit still so we can make sure all everyone can hear the story, because today, we want everyone to know how to use the Sword of the Spirit the Bible! Some of you might be asking, what is the Bible? Can anyone tell me one thing they know about the Bible? (allow children to answer) Thank you. Now, it s ok if you don t know a lot about the Bible. I am a Knight, and I didn t always know what the Bible was and I still don t know everything about it. I train with my sword Remember to be in character it s very everyday. The Bible is our story important that kids see you as a leader about how God is involved in our and as a friend: you are the ultimate lives. It s also a map and a guide mentor. It s also important that kids know that you are still on your journey for how to live our lives. Some of faith. This, more than anything, will people think they don t want to help connect you to them be strong, but live by rules, and they don t want humble! the Bible to tell them how to live.
Page 7 Training Activity 1: Before each station, hide object in a place that is very difficult to find. Tell all the children there is an item hidden in the room. Let them look for it for 30 sec-1 min. Then, find one volunteer to read the directions should take 10 seconds to find item with directions. Wrap up activity by explaining we all need a map in life, and we believe the Bible is God s map for our lives. Some people try to go through life without a map,you need a map for an adventure, to live an extraordinary life! So, let s hear from a Knight in Training who knows how important the Bible is (PLAY VIDEO)! That reminds of a story when Jesus used the word of God to fight off temptations from Satan, God s enemy. Hand out Bible Story pages to 4 students have them read in story aloud in proper order. Jesus was tempted by three things from his enemy, but Jesus used verses from the Bible to tell Satan He only loved God. Now, Satan probably is not going to tell us those same things, but he might tempt us with other things. We need to know how to use our sword: the BIBLE! Training Activity 2: Use the items cut out from the index page 24 to give to each knights circle. They should try to match the temptations with scripture verses that can destroy them once children match them, they can rip the temptations in half. Children will remain in small groups for Journal Time! For the first day, review the journals, and review how to add each page. Each child will be given a piece of paper in a book fold and one precut piece of yarn they will use to bind that page in their felt journal each day. Journal time is for Small Group Circle Leaders to connect with their kids about the Bible Truth.
