Margaret Kiel Make your reservations today! Contact: Min. Sandra Robinson 903-927-2717 or 903-263-3705 We look forward to seeing you there!

By Bishop Larry B. Kiel, Sr. I want to talk to you from the Word of God. I pray that I am able to say something to encourage you for this next year. Last year, we talked from the theme of the Year of Release and that God was going to release some things. Many grabbed a hold to that and believed God to do just that. So hopefully, I can say something to stir your hearts more. If there ever was a time for the body of Christ to be stirred, it is now. It is time out for a bunch of fluff, make-believe, and playing church. It is time to get real in God. I don t know why people think that this is something to play with. It is not. Preachers think it is something to play with, but it s not. Folks are entering into the ministry with the wrong agenda and for the wrong reasons. That is happening all over the nation, today. People just want a church and lot of them just for the prosperity, rather than for the glory of God. You see, it is not about us, but it is about Jesus. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. (Joel 2:23-27) God said that He would restore unto you the years. 2018 is the Year of Restoration. I am not just saying this, but I am actually claiming that for me. And if you are going to have restoration in your life, you are going to have to believe it by faith. When we look at the word restored it means to be restored back to an original form or place. It means to recreate, remake, or renew all over again. Another meaning is restitution. Restitution is something that somebody pays to you. I don t know whether you believe it or not, but there are some things that need to come back to you. There are some things that we lose over the years that we have been in God, but you have got to tell God, I want to have everything restored back to me. When I look at some of the great patriots of the Bible, one is David. David did something that he had no business doing, but God talks about David being a man after His own heart. When he became king, he felt privileged to do what he wanted to do and to break the laws of God. You have got to understand that when you are in God, I don t care who you are or how long you are saved; you cannot break the laws of God. David had to come back to realize that where he was in God, he had lost out. Sometimes, we don t realize that where we started out in God, we are not where we should be in God. I want to say this. Sometimes, people don t want to admit that they made a mistake or got off somewhere. They won t admit that they got slack or eased in God. We have the tendency to believe that because we have been saved a long time, that we understand the move of God or God s Spirit. But where we miss out is when we quit obeying the Word. The Word is to be obeyed until the end. We start using the term that doesn t matter. And if we are not very careful, we will start saying, well, I don t quite believe it that way. That is a dangerous statement. The longer I am saved; I realize how saying that is so dangerous. God checked me the other day. You don t get too spiritual or too old, or in position, that God doesn t talk to you. If you are spiritual-minded, He will talk to you. As I was walking through my house going through in my body, I thought about that it would be a shame for me to live this long for God, and then lose out. That was a

2018 The Year of Restoration (cont.) frightful thought. I said, I don t care how I feel in my body, I have got to do better. We can take certain things and make them as excuses and always say that God understands. I said this with affliction in my body, but I thought about those who are healthy in their bodies. We put anything before God and talk about what doesn t matter. God wants us to live according to His Word. He wants us to check ourselves. Don t live for God for years; and then lose out when you stand before God and He says, I never knew you. That is a frightful thing. After David fell before God, he realized that he needed a clean heart. (Psalm 51:7-12) You can sit in a church, and your heart can become dirty. You can t sit in a church and dig out from under leadership. You can t let envy and jealousy come in to destroy other people. Let the pastor do the pastoring and quit pew pastoring folks. If you aren t very careful, you will have people going through the motions rather than having the Holy Ghost in them. People can fake shouting, praises, and tongues. David said, restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Sometimes, we need a makeover. You don t get bitter over the years that you stay in God. You don t get weaker over the years that you stay in God. You don t get relaxed. You need to have the same sensitivity to the Word of God. Every time the Word comes forth, you have got to check yourself. And when it hits you, you have got to say, I m moving my seat. God is talking to you for you to grow up spiritually. I don t care how good a man or woman preaches; you have got to live according to the Word. Restoration is coming to give you the joy of your salvation, that everyday you want to tell somebody about the goodness of God. We need to check ourselves. There are small things eating away your prayer life, your faith, your joy, your praise, and your desire to do more for God. This is the year of restoration and God is going to do a new thing for Full Gospel. I am looking for restoration. Restoration has finally come.

Youth Congress Highlights Stand Up to Stand Out was the inspiring theme of FGHT s Annual Youth Congress, December 27-29. Children, teens, and young adults from the many FGHT churches participated in this three-day blessed event held at the Headquarters church in Dallas. Marshall youth well-represented their leaders, Bishop & Evangelist Kiel and the Spirit of Holiness as they went forth with theme exhortations, recitations, directing, singing, announcing, playing instruments, and preaching. Pastor Andre Lee of FGHT Houston is the Youth Congress president and Evangelist Margaret Kiel serves on the Youth Congress committee. The members are thankful to our Overseer Apostle Herman Murray, Lady Daniele, and Founding Mother, Evangelist Shirley Murray for this annual tradition designed to continue to encourage the young people in their walk with God. This convention keeps the next generation on fire for the Lord and let s them display all the gifts and talents the Lord has blessed them with. Don t miss Youth Congress 2018! By Sis. La Rue Jenkins Marshall Full Gospel Holy Temple Church will present its Annual Black History Program at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 18th at 3949 West Pinecrest Drive. This time is set aside to reflect on the past, observe the present, and look to the future. The program s purpose is to provide knowledge and quest for additional in depth study of the exciting accomplishments of Black Americans. It will instill a knowledge and respect of Black History and attempt to establish a sense of ethnic pride and self-esteem. Everyone is invited to this program which will include portrayals of famous Black Americans, singing, recitations, skits, and a Soulfood Fest, which will be held immediately following morning service. Make plans to attend this inspiring program.

God Made a Change in My Life By Sis. Annette Garland Giving honor to God and to my leaders, it is with great thankfulness that I give this testimony. The Lord came into my life in September 1980, and the same joy that I felt at the time, I still feel, today. I know that without the preaching, teaching, and prayers of Bishop & Co-Pastor Kiel, I would not be here, today. I needed this strong ministry. I was a self-righteous person who was raised in a traditional denomination from a child. I was baptized at an early age, because I was told that was what I needed to do. I was even told the words to say down at the front of the church, but I did not have a personal experience with God. I went on doing what I was expected to do and was active in the church. When I went away to college, I knew I needed to go to church and I did. However, I also began to do many ungodly things that I was not raised to do. I started going to night clubs, drinking, smoking and all that goes along with that lifestyle. Yet, I went to church on most Sundays, just doing what everyone I hung around with was doing. But one day, I was witnessed to by my brother who had gotten saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at Marshall Full Gospel. I did not want to hear what he was saying, but he backed up everything he told me by showing me in the Bible. Even though I rejected him, the Spirit of the Lord began to deal with my heart. I was no longer comfortable in the things that I was doing. I would often be out partying, and I would find myself saying in my heart, Lord, don t let me die in my sins. I remember visiting Marshall FGHT then located at 1603 W. Houston Street. That Wednesday night, the Lord saved me and filled me with the Holy Ghost, and I have never been the same. I was new. I had peace and I had joy. I knew that I was saved. Through the years, God blessed me with many desires of my heart. He blessed me with a miracle child, a home, and a career that I was able to retire from. I can also give God all the glory for being my Healer. This year marks my 11 th year of being a cancer survivor. I have had many hard trials and tribulations along the way, but none of them have ever made me want to turn my back on God. Give God a chance to make a difference in your life. You won t regret it. God is So Amazing: A But God Testimony By Sis. Monica Mills Giving honor to God who is the head of my life and to my precious leaders, Bishop & Evangelist Kiel: God is so amazing! He is my all and all. The Lord came into my life over 12 years ago, and He has not failed me, yet. God has been my Protector, Healer, and my Best Friend. I testify a lot about my mind; because there has been so much going on around me, that all I can say is: But God! If I had ten thousand tongues, I couldn t tell it all. God has given me the mind to go back to school, and I have to work a full time job. Since I have been in school, I have been on the A & B Honor Roll. That s nobody, but God. One night, I was sitting at the computer typing a paper and had told my son to go take a bath. He later came back and told me that the door was locked. I went to the bathroom door and began to smell smoke and to hear a popping noise on the other side of the door. God helped me to get the door opened. When I opened it, a gust of smoke came out. There was a fire in the trash can. Little did I know that my son had been playing with paper sticking it in the heater and had thrown it into the plastic trash can. The fire started burning the floor, but God helped me contain it and get the fire put out. Most of all, there was really no damage at all. I appreciate God for His protection, because I could have been homeless; but God! I love God with all my heart, and without Him, there is no me. My favorite scripture is Psalm 121: 1-2: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Thank you, Lord, for all you ve done for me!

God has already blessed us and we do rejoice in 2018 as we celebrated our Overseer, Apostle Herman L. Murray, Jr. and our Founding Mother, Dr. Shirley Murray. The Marshall FGHT family attended with excitement the 86th birthday of Evang. Shirley Murray and the 41st birthday of our Apostle Herman Murray, Jr. People came from far and near to help celebrate our Godly leaders. It was worth it all just to hear Dr. Shirley Murray say that I am happy. The program was a blessing to all that attended. Encouraging songs were sang, tributes from city officals, family recognition, Sis. Marliyn Leufroy of Simmesport FGHT did a wonderful job on the occasion letting us know why we were there, and most of all the word of God. Elder Patrick Murray brought an outstanding word entitled, I Know Who You Are. He came from Matt. 16:16 where Peter told Jesus, Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God. Elder Murray said that it is one thing to have a recognition of a person and have a revelation of a person. He also said that we had to see our leader through the spirit and not through the flesh. There were smiles all around. Everyone rejoiced to be in the presence of such greatness, and we look forward to many, many, more blessed birthdays for them both. Executive Directors Bishop Larry B.
