INTRO Vision l 2017 #beanchored BeingONE

Biblical truth of unity in diversity Being One: the mind, heart, hands, and feet of Christ taken from John 17:21, "I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

2. Scripture l JOHN 17 Context PRAYERS l Jesus for Himself, His disciples and lastly for ALL BELIEVERS..

John 17 l Jesus Prays for All Believers 20 I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in Me through their message. 21 May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me. 22 I have given them the glory You have given Me. May they be one as We are one. 23 I am in them and You are in Me. May they be made completely one, so the world may know You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.

24 Father, I desire those You have given Me to be with Me where I am. Then they will see My glory, which You have given Me because You loved Me before the world s foundation. 25 Righteous Father! The world has not known You. However, I have known You, and these have known that You sent Me. 26 I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them.

John 17:21 May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me. 2.1 Five important things to note:

2.1 Five important things to note: 1. All believers 2. As You Father in Me and I am in You Relational bond, Supernatural 3. Oneness is Jesus heart for us 4. May they also be one in Us We will get to the how [in Us 1] 5. So that the World will know [Why? 2]

2.2 Oneness: Oneness speaks of unity and being of one heart, Spirit and accord.. We know that Psalm 133 says: 1 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!... 3 For there the LORD has appointed the blessing life forevermore.

The Plumb Line of true unity 2.2 Oneness:

2.2 Oneness: Context of John 17: BELIEVERS be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You.

3. BeingONE l Simple question, HOW? John 17:21 May they also be one in Us 3.1 IN US : Greek definition IN also refers to REST

3.2 Looking to JESUS: For Oneness and true unity, one must primarily look to Christ in friendships, relationship, marriage and Church Colossians 1:17 18 (ESV) And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. [leading]

3.2 Looking to JESUS: Ephesians 5:22 25 Wives and Husbands Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Saviour. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her..

3.2 Looking to JESUS: In Colossians, Christ is head because He holds all things together. In Ephesians, Christ is head because He is Saviour. 1 Peter 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd (Christ) appears, you will receive the [conqueror s] unfading crown of glory.

3.3 Walking by the SPIRIT: Romans 8:14 (HCSB) All those led by God s Spirit are God s sons.

3.3 Walking by the SPIRIT: Ephesians 4:1-6 (HCSB) Unity and Diversity in the Body of Christ 4 Therefore I, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love, 3 diligently keeping the unity of the Spirit with the peace that binds us. 4 There is one body and one Spirit just as you were called to one hope at your calling 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

4. Always Love: Colossians 3:12-14 (HCSB) Therefore, God s chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, 13 accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive. 14 Above all, put on love the perfect bond of unity.
