A Message from our GK: Good evening brothers, Over the past month sitting watching and hearing I been wondering how I can better serve you my brothers of Council 759 better as your newly elected Grand Knight. I truly believe that we need to remember why we are knights in the first place. Charity Unity Fraternity Patriotism I truly believe in these but the Two I believe we all must remember is Charity and Unity. Charity must start at home Unity is what bonds us all together. I figured that I should tell each of you my plan for the year. I am not big on numbers so if you are looking for me to have a recruiting station after every Mass or a Membership drive I believe we do this at every pancake Breakfast and Burrito sales and the many activities that we do every year's examples Fish Fry's, Keller Fest Parking and Special Olympics are just a few examples of how we get the word out to men. I believe with all the extra things we already do there's no need for a membership drives. I truly believe that the Knights of Columbus is an organization that by name alone is something that men seek out to join. If a man asked you about our Council educated him on what the Knights of Columbus is all about and pls welcome him to sign up. Now with that being said. I truly believe that the only way to have successful year is if we can all work together. May the Lord above Bless each of you and your families!

Yours in Christ, Michael Rhodes Grand Knight Council 759 July 21st - Saturday Major Degree - 7641 Bedford For first degree Knights... Bring your Knights Travel Card with you. Only Having Insurance "Through Work" Doesn't Work Do you know anyone whose life or career has drastically changed during these years of economic downturn? It's very likely that someone in your immediate or extended family or group of friends is facing financial uncertainty. Maybe there's a possibility that you (or your spouse) could change employers, or even lose your job.

Too many people have often relied on group term life insurance as their only safety net. Often, this insurance is an employee benefit provided at low or no cost. The existence of this coverage might convince someone that personally-owned life insurance is not necessary. But only having "through work" insurance can leave you and your family vulnerable. Most group life insurance policies are limited in amount, which may be tied to salary or some other benchmark. These numbers are often capped, and this cap may be dangerously low when compared to your family's actual needs. In fact, a detailed needs analysis that evaluates your specific situation, will likely show that any employer-provided coverage falls short. In addition, the amount of group insurance offered is almost always reduced, sometimes dramatically, when you retire. You could one day find yourself without coverage, and if your health has changed (which it will as you age), you might also find yourself unable to secure individual protection. At the very least, it will definitely be more expensive. While group life insurance can help, it does not replace the need for individually owned life insurance. I'll be happy to meet with you and provide a no-cost needs analysis, so you'll know exactly where you stand. God grant them peace of mind and the strength to mend. For those Brothers and Sisters who are suffering and need our prayers. May God's grace be with all those in their time of need. For an end to the scourge of abortion. For all those out of work or concerned about the future of their jobs. In thanksgiving for the leadership of our Bishops, Priests and Clergy in standing up for and teaching the Truth For our Country and its leaders - especially the "prochoice" Catholics that they see the truth. For the Christians around the world who are being persecuted and murdered because of their faith in Jesus Christ. For our military who protect our freedom. For our veterans who have served to protect our freedom. Church Director Edward Leal <edleal7751@gmail.com> Seeking Truth Human desires are fickle and constantly changing. That's why you should focus on becoming more like Christ and want what he wants for you. The truth is, you often don't know what is best for you, or even what is true or false. The world has a way of always confusing us. The only way to know the truth is to continually study what God says. In his Word. Reading and studying the Bible is one of the ways God works in your life to make you more like Christ and to reveal what whatever he has planned for you. Are you learning truth from God or the world?

We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies that sound like truth. - Ephesians 4:14 SQUIRES CORNER If you know a male youth age 10 to 18 - please encourage them to become Knights.
