Household Blessing 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 4I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. The Prosperous Soul God desires total prosperity for your life. What does a prosperous life look like? How to access the blessing of God for you and your family Week 1: You and your house Exodus 12: 1The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, 2 This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year. 3Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb a for his family, one for each household. 4If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the

amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat. 5The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. 6Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight. 7Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. 8That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without yeast. Take a lamb Exodus 12: 3Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb a for his family, God s Children in Egypt had been in captivity for over 40 years. The promise of freedom had come but nothing had changed! The prophet Moses had declared let my people go but still they were bound! Faith was tested. They had reached breaking point and still no change.

Accept 1 The Challenge of faith Using your faith to believe for your family. What do you do when you have done everything and nothing has changed? It made no sense to take a lamb, how was that going to turn the situation around? Stepping into household blessing! Our faith is based on His perfection not on our past The lamb was in the house 4 days to be inspected To find a fault. If there was a fault he could not be killed. Luke 23: 4Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

The ancient Egyptians worshipped lambs. Taking a lamb, the Egyptians' deity, into their homes for four days, with the intention of slaughtering was repulsive to the Egyptians. This was an act of courage. Faith looks at the situation and says God can. Faith takes a lamb. Faith believes the promise of God. If you don t take a lamb you family will perish. Acts 16:25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone s chains came loose. 27The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28But Paul shouted, Don t harm yourself! We are all here! 29The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30He then brought them out and asked, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31They replied, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved you and your household.

Accept 1 The Challenge of faith Reject 2 The pain of failure No one starts a marriage hoping it fails. No one raises a child to be a drunk or a drug addict. We start from a place of hope. We start from a place of joy. Failure hurts and admitting failure is hard. Life happens We fight against the World Flesh Devil You can t live in the place of shame. Isaiah 54: 1 Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband, says the Lord. 2 Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. 3For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.

4 Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. 5For your Maker is your husband the Lord Almighty is his name the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. It doesn t really matter how you got where you are it only matters how you get to where you re going! It s liberating to own up to failure its soul destroying to live under the guilt of failure. satan is desperate to keep you in your failure. he wants to Stop your growth Destroy your calling Minimize you influence Neutralise your anointing It s really about destroying your calling Dealing with past failures

1 Get up from it 2 Get over it 3 Get on with it 4 Learn From it If we don t learn from our past we damage our future. The is no point suffering pain without gain. Accept 1 The Challenge of faith Reject 2 The pain of failure Deny 3 The struggle of forgiveness I am forgiven and I will forgive Exodus 12:5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. 6Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, without defect= He was perfect because we were imperfect. To access Household Blessing you must walk in confidence before God. Am I righteous? Am I clean? Am I forgiven?

We could only be forgiven because He paid the price that forgiveness demanded. Our sin was not swept under the carpet! Just pretend it s not there! No it was dealt with, paid for and washed away. Matthew 6: 9 This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11Give us today our daily bread. 12And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, a but deliver us from the evil one. b 14For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Phonetic Spelling: (af-ee'-ay-mee) Definition: (a) I send away, (b) I let go, release, permit to depart If you are in Christ, you have been forgiven. Now forgive. God will allow the person to walk in their sin (that is, He will not overlook it and embrace the person), to the necessary extent; until they come face to face with it and see it for what it is. https://bible.org/article/issue-forgiveness-sermon-mount

Forgiveness is an act of faith. Not based on whether they have proved themselves or changed rather that I have made a choice to forgive. Not to say you will let them walk all over you. Understand their value. Understand Your value. As you release them you release yourself. Unforgiveness attaches you to them. Unforgiveness attaches you to that pain. Unforgiveness attaches you to that memory. Household blessing comes as you. Accept 1 The Challenge of faith Reject 2 The pain of failure Deny 3 The struggle of forgiveness

Numbers 6: 22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 Tell Aaron and his sons, This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: 24 The Lord bless you and keep you; 25the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Deuteronomy 28: 1 If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: 3You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. 4The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. 5Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. 6You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. 7The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. 8The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
