Worship Pastor Ministry Description

Fulfilling the Great Commission Our strategy to accomplish the church s mission is made up of two parts: Our Process and Our Programs. The process we use is designed to help every attendee to pursue the five New Testament purposes in their lives: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. Each of our programs corresponds with a step within our process. Our programs only exist to support our process. Worship: Weekend Worship Services It is important that we demonstrate our love for God both privately and corporately through the act of worship in all areas of our lives. Our weekend worship services are designed to attract the unchurched to Jesus and communicate the Gospel in an understandable manner. Fellowship: Small Groups As members of the Body of Christ we need to be in fellowship with other believers. It is in this fellowship that we find accountability and support to grow in our faith. We accomplish this purpose by asking every member to belong to a small group. We have Sunday School Small Groups that meet on Sunday morning as well as small groups that meet in homes during the week. Discipleship: Growing University It is important to the Christian walk that we continually grow in our knowledge and understanding of Christ. The more we study and meditate on the Word of God the more we become like Him. We place high value on the Bible as God s Word. We offer in-depth courses to help Christians mature in their faith. Ministry: Ministry Teams Serving others in Jesus name is an important step in modeling Christ to those around us. After all He came to serve, not to be served. There are numerous opportunities for each member to use their spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and experiences to minister to the needs of others. Evangelism: Mission Teams No matter what mission field we find ourselves in, we are to share the Gospel with those around us. Every member of our church is encouraged to live on mission and to participate in short-term mission trips to develop a biblical worldview.
