And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matthew 21:22 Prayer Praying for Our Pastor Behind every great leader is someone willing to pray for him. This is true of the heroes of Scripture; it is true of our Pastor. As a church, we must be willing to intercede for him in powerful, consistent, and specific prayer. This daily guide will help you pray for him powerfully, consistently, and specifically. Will you commit to pray for Pastor Taylor every day?

Relationship with the Lord Day 1 Christlikeness Ask God to help Pastor imitate Christ in everything he does and to inspire others to do the same. Just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved (1 Corinthians 10:33). Day 2 Desire Ask God to give Pastor a growing desire to spend time with the Lord. As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God (Psalm 42:1-2). Day 3 Endurance Pray for endurance to fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). Day 4 Love Pray he would love the Word of God and desire to study it diligently. I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies... I will meditate on Your precepts... I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word... Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law (Psalm 119:14-18). Day 5 Prayer Ask God to make Pastor a mighty man of prayer. Day 6 Surrender Pray that he would be surrendered to God s will and direction for his life and our church. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me (Galatians 2:20). Day 7 Victory Ask God to give victory over temptation.

As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3). Preaching Ministry Day 8 Anointing Ask God to fill him with the Holy Spirit when he stands to preach in the pulpit. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Day 9 Boldness Pray for clear, bold, and powerful preaching. Day 10 Evangelism Pray that people would be won to Christ through his life, ministry, and preaching. Day 11 Following Pray that Pastor would have a congregation that is loving, growing, and dedicated to the Lord. Day 12 Insight Pray that he would have insight into God s Word as he studies for himself and prepares messages for the congregation. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Leadership of the Church Day 13 Administration Pray that God would make him effective in his oversight of staff and ministry responsibilities. Day 14 Courage Pray that he would boldly lead our church for God s glory. Day 15 Humility Pray that he would have pure motives and walk in humility. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up ( James 4:10). Day 16 Perseverance Pray that Pastor would be energized by the Holy Spirit to persevere in his daily duties. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). Day 17 Sensitivity Pray that Pastor would be sensitive to the Lord s guidance and direction. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye (Psalm 32:8). Day 18 Vision Ask God to show him how the church can have the greatest impact on our community, our nation, and our world. Day 19 Wisdom Ask God to give him wisdom to oversee church ministries.

Personal and Family Life Day 20 Blessing Ask God to meet Pastor s needs and prosper him so he might be able to bless others. Day 21 Devotion Ask God to give him the time to devote to his wife and children. Day 22 Protection Ask God to protect Pastor and his family from gossip, negative criticism, false expectations, strife, and weariness. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Relationships with Others Day 23 Compassion Pray that he would always be loving and compassionate toward others. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering (Colossians 3:12). Day 24 Confidence Ask God to help Pastor stay strong in his faith and fear no man; ask God to uphold him. Day 25 Discernment Ask God to give Pastor unusual discernment to see right from wrong and to judge fairly in his dealings with others. Day 26 Integrity Pray that Pastor would be respected as a man of integrity in our community.

Day 27 Testimony Pray he would glorify God by his life and testimony. In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility (Titus 2:7). Health and Well-Being Day 28 Encouragement Pray that the joy of the Lord would be his strength; that God would keep him from discouragement. Day 29 Peace Pray that the peace of God would keep Pastor s mind and heart from gossip, negative criticism, false expectations, strife, and weariness. Day 30 Strength Ask God to keep Pastor strong, even in the midst of difficulties and long hours of ministry. Day 31 Vitality Ask God to give Pastor extraordinary energy to accomplish all that needs to be done. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
