WEDNESDAY NIGHT REVIVE Did you know that one of the best ways to prevent burnout is authentic community? It s getting together, sharing a meal, and connecting with real people. On Wednesday, September 19, Saint Paul is starting a new worship service called Wednesday Night Revive. It s a time to revive weary souls through Christ, community, and good food. It s not about adding one more thing to your schedule. Instead, it s a time to rest in community. It s where we can stop trying, and instead we let God take care of everything. Dinner is at 5:30pm, worship is at 6:15pm. The worship will be Christ centered with activities for the kids and meaningful application and practice for adults. Sign-ups will be sent out soon. The IRA rollover provision allows donors age 70 ½ to make gifts directly to Saint Paul Lutheran Church and School or other qualified charity from their IRAs in a tax-advantaged manner. There are two great things that come from this: The rollover counts toward satisfying the required minimum distribution (RMD) for that year. The distribution is excluded from the taxpayer s income, which is significant under the new tax laws, where fewer people are expected to take itemized deductions for contributions to charity. Pick up a flyer at the Welceome Center or view it on the electronic TTW for more information. If you have any questions on how this type of gift could work for you, contact Ray Pagels, our Christian Gift Planning Counselor at 847-226-2262 or ray.pagels@lfnd.org.
