Many: May Your Holy Spirit direct us in living out this witness in Your beloved world. One: Loving God, we also celebrate this, the 59 th year of a faith community called Binkley Baptist Church a community that heard Your call to inclusivity, to justice, and to horizons yet unknown. We give thanks for founding members, for the faithful ministry of Robert Seymour in those early days. Many: May each founding member, and all who witnessed those early days be filled with Your Spirit of joyful recollection! One: God of discerning wisdom, we also lift up other leaders and members who serve You at Binkley, and in particular, we pray that Your guiding light arise boldly among those serving on the Minister Search Committee, on the Church Council, and on the Diaconate. Many: May each one be filled with Your spirit of grace and truth. One: And beloved God, we pray for those in our congregation fighting cancer, for those dealing with chronic physical and mental health conditions, for those dealing with bones healing, and for each one needing strength. We pray also that those mourning the loss of beloved companions and family members may feel Your tender nearness and grace. Many: May each one be anointed with Your Spirit of healing and comfort.

One: And dear God of all hope, we pray for our world, for the peace and well-being of all. For if in these 59 years as a community called Binkley, we have tasted your kin-dom, then let our message be that of kindness and love, of mutual honor and forgiveness. For we seek by Your Spirit not to further division, but rather to mend and heal a world. Many: May Your Holy Spirit descend upon all hearts and abide now and forever, leading us in justice, peace, and reconciliation. All: For all of your children, for all of your creation, we pray.
