Jamnagar: Jamnagar the Jewel of Kathiawar, is on the coast of Gulf of Kutch in the state of Gujarat. Until its merger with the Indian Union after independence, Nawanagar was one of more important princely states of Saurastra.It was established by Jam Raval in the 16th c. and ruled by his descendants. The capital was Jamnagar, which now gives the districts its name. Legend associates the area with Krishna, who migrated from Mathura and established his kingdom at Dwarka. The Jams trace their ancestry to Krishna's Yadav clan. During his reign, Jam Ranjitsinhji laid the city out on a western model. He was one of the greatest cricket players in the history of the game, even though he played mainly for England, and drew inspiration from his exposure to Europe. Dwarka: The city is also known as Dwarawati as per Sanskrit literature and is one of the seven most holy places for Hindus in the country.the legendary city was the dwelling place of Lord Krishna. The city of Dwarka lies in the westernmost part of Gujarat located on the tip of the Saurashtra peninsula on the Arabian Sea. The city was once referred as the Golden City. As per Hindu teachings and Knowledge, Dwarka has a noteworthy significance since it is categorized under both in the 'Chardham' sites and the 'sapta-puris' or the seven sacred cities. Somnath: The characteristic feature of India spiritual culture is widely and vividly experienced in Somnath Temple. Considered to be one of the leading shrines and highly esteemed pilgrimage destination, this tourist attraction is visited by people all of all faiths from all over the globe. Snuggled close to the extreme west coast of Indian subcontinent in the state of Gujarat, Somnath temple is famous Joytirlinga s; the abode of Lord Shiva; revered by the devotees and non-devotees equally. Gir: Besides Africa, Gir National Park in Gujarat is the only place in the world where you can spot lions roaming free in the wild. The real discovery channel of India is situated approximately 65 Kms South East of Junagarh District. The Government notified the large geographical extent of Sasan Gir as wildlife sanctuary on 18th September, 1965 in order to conserve the Asiatic Lion. It covers total area of 1412 square kilometers of which 258 Km forms the core area of the National Park. Diu: The town of Diu, also a union territory of India with a coastal length of 21 kms, is a beautiful island located nearby the coast of kathiyawad region at veraval port. The northern part of Diu, India is surrounded by amreli and junagadh town of Gujarat. Arabian Sea majorly covers Diu from three of its sides. Set at the altitude of 6 meters from sea level, the town experiences topography of general plain category. The shrubs and bushes along with other trees grow maximum at the height of 30 meters.

You can visit Devaliya Park) DETAIL ITINERARY Day 1. Arrive Ahmedabad. Check into the hotel, freshen up and leave for Gandhi Ashram. Drive down to Akshardham Temple. Visit Akshardham Temple and enjoy the pradarshani at Akshar Hall (Own cost). Later on way back visit Vaishno Devi Temple and Iskon Temple. Later in evening enjoy the night market at Law Garden. Overnight at Ahmedabad. Day 2. Ahmedabad Jamnagar (300km/ 6hrs) Leave for Jamnagar after breakfast. Visit Bala Hanuman Temle know for its nonstop Ramdhun since 1956 and in mentioned in Guiness Book of World Records, also visit Lakhota Lake and other famous temples of Jamnagar. Not to forget visit the local markets in Jamnagar known for its Bandhni work. Overnight at Jamnagar. Day 3. Jamnagar Dwarka (130km/ 3hrs) After morning breakfast drive down to Nageshwar Jyotirling, Gopi, Bet Dwarka and Rukmani Temple. Attend evening aarti at Dwarkadhish temple. Overnight at Hotel in Dwarka. Day 4. Dwarka Somnath (230km/ 4hrs) Early morning attend morning aarti at Dwakadish Temple; later after breakfast leave for Somnath- enroute visit Porbander- Birth Place of Mahatma Gandhi, Sudamapuri and Bharat Mata Temple. Later proceed to Somnath. Visit Somnath Temple, attend evening aarti, see the sound and light show at Somnath Temple premises. Overnight at Hotel in Somnath.
Day 5. Somnath Gir National Park (50km/ 1.5hrs) After breakfast check out from Hotel and leave for Gir National Park. Enjoy the afternoon drive by open Gypsys in Gir National Park (own cost). Evening free for nature walks for birding. Overnight at Gir. NOTE: MAIN PARK IS CLOSED FRM 16 TH JUNE TO 15 TH OCT. YOU CAN VISIT DEVALIYA PARK. Day 6. Gir Ahmedabad (300km/ 6hrs) After a quick cup of morning tea, leave for one more safari (Own cost) in Gir National Park to spot Asiatic Lions, Leopards, Spotted deer, Peacocks, and various spicies of Birds. Return to resort, breakfast and then check out from hotel and depart for Ahmedabad. Arrive Ahmedabad in evening, Catch train / flight back to home with sweet memories of Gujarat.
