An Invitation from the Dean It is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the 80th Annual Family Bible Camp. As we celebrate the legacy of this event, I have confidence that the traditions of powerful preaching, Biblical teaching and Christian fellowship will continue this summer. It was the popular tent revivals of the early 1900 s that gave birth to this Bible conference. In recent years, we ve been able to honor their original setting by gathering under a big top tent we call the tenternacle. Feel free to bring your own comfortable lawn chairs to any of the sessions. To help us celebrate 80 years, I m excited to welcome back Dr. Jonathan Case as our Disciple Hour teacher. After rave reviews back in 2010, Dr. Case joins us for another milestone year. Leading our Bible Hour is a new face to the Family Bible Camp: Dr. David Watson is one of the most popular teachers at United Theological Seminary. It is an honor to welcome a recently retired United Methodist bishop to Findley Lake. Bishop Peter Weaver will inspire and challenge us each evening and we may even find out if he has ancestral ties to the area (think: Weaver Hall). Also, both the camp and I are very excited to announce that online registration is now available. Please check the brochure for instructions on how to register quickly and easily. www.campfindley.org

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. Ephesians 1:17 NIV I know God will do amazing things in our lives this year at Family Bible Camp. Some of us will experience an encouraging Word from the Lord, some will receive a call to ministry and some will have their lives transformed. I hope you ll be there to witness it all. Rev. Rick LaDue Pastor at Kidder Memorial UMC, Jamestown, NY About Findley Findley Camp and Retreat Center is located in Southwestern New York on a ¼ mile stretch on the shore of Findley Lake. The camp has 160 acres consisting of woods with trails, a large ball field, a lower campus area with housing, and the lakefront. During Family Bible Camp there are several activities you and your family can enjoy during the afternoon. The waterfront will be open each day from 2 to 5 pm for swimming, canoeing, paddleboating, and kayaking. The waterfront will also have tubing and skiing available each afternoon as well. The slip n slide is great fun for the little ones and runs each afternoon. The newly rebuilt playground is available any time. There are hiking trails, a Frisbee golf course, basketball, and volleyball options various afternoons. You have the freedom to choose how active or relaxed your afternoons will be. Findley s snack bar will be open each afternoon and each evening following the service. There are a wide variety of treats,

both healthy options and sweet options. We do bring in local Addie s homemade ice cream for the snack bar for Family Bible camp as an extra special option. Findley is 1 ½ miles from the quaint town of Findley Lake if you want to take an afternoon to do some local shopping. The camp is also three miles from Peek n Peak Ski and Golf Resort. Findley is located 1 ½ hours southwest of Buffalo, NY, 30 minutes east of Erie, PA, and 45 minutes west of Jamestown, NY. Map data TomTom
