HIS HEART/HIS HANDS/HIS VOICE Lottie Moon Christmas Offering National Goal: $175 million; MBC Goal: $5,175 Collected to Date: $4,402.30 Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it. - Matthew 16:24-25 To be His heart, hands and voice involves praying, going, sending and giving. The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering enables your Southern Baptist missionaries to live and work at the forefront of lostness and extend your witness through their full-time ministry. FROM PASTOR CRAIG And on Earth, Peace What a beautiful morning of music we had Sunday! The music and the message reminded us that Jesus came to bring peace on earth and in each of our lives. Thanks to the choir for all of their talent and hard work. Thanks to Darryll Knight and Kara Wren for the sound and power point. And thanks to Nikki for putting it all together and creating the worship experience we had. It was truly a blessed morning! Merry Christmas We would love to write you all personally but we haven t enough pens, so let me use this space to wish you all a happy and blessed Christmas from my family to yours. May the joy of this season surround you as you take some time off to enjoy family and friends, and as you consider the birth of our Savior. To quote songwriter Rich Mullins, I hope there ll be peace on earth, I know there s goodwill toward men on account of that Baby born in Bethlehem. Thanks to all of you who make not just Christmas but everyday a joy to serve. And thanks so much for the generous Christmas love offering. You truly bless us and we are grateful. O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem Come and behold Him born the King of angels O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord! Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning Jesus to Thee be all glory given Word of the Father now in flesh appearing O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord! Merry Christmas! Craig Don t forget to be praying for our mission team heading to Guatemala on December 28th: Nancy Bowen, Tyler Gatewood, Stevie and Jenny Helm, Rebecca Taylor, and me. We look forward to a great time with the children. Pray that we will truly be examples and instruments of God s love, and for the stamina to be effective each day.

Our thoughts turn toward the birth of our Lord Jesus as we wind down another year. It is our hope and prayer that this season will be amazing for you and that God will peel back the familiarity of the nativity event and bring a fresh vision of His incarnation. God became flesh in the person of Jesus experienced real life yet without sin. He is patient with us as a High Priest who identifies with our weaknesses. I pray that He will fill you with wonder this Christmas and make the beauty of this season so real! In Christ, John Berryhill 282-0875, x. 26; john@manchacabaptist.org JOY Food Pantry The JOY Food Pantry has been used by many community residents needing assistance for their families. FRIDAY MORNING LADIES BIBLE STUDY CONVERSATION PEACE BY MARY KASSIAN The Bible says that the tongue compares to the rudder of a ship; it determines which way the ship goes. So does this mean our own tongue (what we say) determines which way our lives go? You are most welcome to join this group study which resumes Jan. 4 at 9:30 a.m. in Room E115.
