This can be anything from one prayer to a full rosary. We have received many "thank you" notes back from these men for whom we have been praying. Page 9 What is Serra Club? Serrans take their name from the 18th century Franciscan missionary Saint Junipero Serra, well known for beginning a string of California missions. Like Father Serra in his time, the Serrans of today put faith into action. Whether through meetings, vocational programs, or personal involvement in school, parish and diocesan activities, Serrans accept the challenge of finding and encouraging young men and women to become priests and nuns. The Serran mission is to foster and affirm vocations to the priesthood and vowed religious life. Serra is a worldwide organization administered by Serra International. Serran Prayer for Vocations O God, Who wills not the death of a sinnerbut rather that he be converted and livegrant we beseech YOU, through the intercession of the Blessed Mary ever Virgin, Saint Joseph her spouse, Saint Junipero Serra, and all the saints, an increase of laborers for Your Church, fellow laborers with Christ to spend and consume themselves for souls, through the same Jesus Christ, Your son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever Amen. Prayer for the Perseverance of Vocations O God, you have constituted Your onlybegotten Son supreme and eternal Priest for the glory of Your majesty and the salvation of mankind: grant that those whom He has chosen ministers and dispensers of His mysteries may be found faithful in fulfilling the ministry they have received.
