Proposed Usage This book contains several parts. Pages 6-38 are the main text. It is recommended that you print one copy of pages 6-38 for each child in your home. Then decide what supplemental material you will use. Supplement Puzzles

About this book My Journey with Jesus Christ is a personalized devotional. It is designed to help your child grow in his/her relationship with God while helping him/her understand some key principles of the Christian faith. It includes space for your child s name throughout the book and space for you to paste four photos of your child. My Journey with Jesus Christ is designed to involve your child in the concepts that are being taught. This is done by simply and carefully explaining each concept and then asking your child to engage in an activity. By engaging in the activity, it is hoped that your child will personalize the concept and thus integrate it into his/her thinking and behavior. Each section of the book includes a brief lesson about a Christian principle. At the end of each lesson are several lines for you to write a love note or prayer to your child (please see the example on the next page). Each lesson is then followed by a drawing activity for your child. While the lesson may be used in any order, it is best to use them in the arranged order because it tells the Christian story in chronological order, from beginning to end. While working through this book, your child will learn basic biblical principles about his/her relationship with Jesus Christ. Younger children may need help understanding some of the words and concepts in the book. Please use simple words and concepts to explain. As much as possible, let your child decide what to draw and/or write. It may be helpful to give your child a new box of crayons or colored pencils. While younger children like to illustrate books, because images come more naturally to them than words, older children are more comfortable expressing themselves verbally and may use words with their illustrations. As your child works through this book, focus on ideas and experiences rather than drawing ability.

A C T S You can use the word ACTS to help you remember the different types of prayer. Read below to learn to fancy words and how to pray. A is for ADORATION. Adoration is talking to God about who He is. You can pray in adoration by thinking of all the names for God, Yahweh, Lord, King. Righteous One C is for CONFESSION. Confession is telling God about the wrong things you have done (sins). We all do wrong sometimes, whether it is disobeying, lying, not listening, saying mean things, hit or yell, God will forgive you if you just ask. T is for THANKSGIVING. Thanksgiving is remembering to say thank you to God for all He has given you. There is always so much to thank God for people to take care of you, a home, clothes, Jesus, family and friends. S is for SUPPLICATION. Supplication is asking God to help you with a need or someone you know with a need. God loves everyone and is always waiting to hear your needs. He is never too busy to help you with your needs and no need is too big or small.

Jesus Loves You For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV) Do you remember ever hearing the song Jesus Loves Me? It is true! Jesus loves you. The fact that Jesus loves you should make you very happy; so happy that you should try your best to do things that Jesus wants you to do. I am praying that you continue to grow in Jesus love.
