Cynthia Dobrinski - Trinity Bells WORDS OF WELCOME..............................................Pastor Michael Dorn PROCESSIONAL HYMN... Hark the Glad Sound....LSB 349 Hark the glad sound! The Savior comes, The Savior promised long; Let ev ry heart prepare a throne And ev ry voice a song. He comes the pris ners to release, In Satan s bondage held. The gates of brass before Him burst, The iron fetters yield. He comes the broken heart to bind, The bleeding soul to cure, And with the treasures of His grace To enrich the humble poor. xour glad hosannas, Prince of Peace, Thy welcome shall proclaim, xand heav n s eternal arches ring With Thy beloved name. INVOCATION P In the name of the Father and of the T Son and of the Holy Spirit. C Amen. LIGHTING OF THE ADVENT WREATH - MIGHTY GOD Choir/Solo: Of the Father s love begotten, ere the world began to be, He is Alpha and Omega, He the source, the ending He. During Advent, we wait for the One promised in scripture. We wait for the One whose power has no limits and whose strength knows no end. We wait for the One whose everlasting light can illuminate the darkest night.

We wait for the One whose mercy never ends and whose faithfulness endures forever. Candle Lighting Today we light three candles. The first candle reminds us of our hope in knowing Jesus as our Wonderful Counselor. The second candle reminds us that Jesus came to earth as the Prince of Peace. As we light the third candle, we reflect on the joy we have in knowing a God who is almighty, all-knowing, and always present. Continuing our Advent journey, we joyfully celebrate a Savior who brings hope and peace and whose power and strength have no limits. Choir/Solo: Let the heights of heaven adore Him; angel hosts His praises sing: Powers, dominions, bow before Him, and extol our God and King. Choir/Solo: Evermore and evermore, Emmanuel. INTRODUCTION Gracious Lord, we thank You for Your promises and for coming to earth and bringing the power of almighty God. As we continue our Advent journey, help us know the joy that comes from resting in Your power, and help us spread this joy everywhere we go today and every day. We pray this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. READING...............................Matthew 1:18-23 P 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with Child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. 20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: 23 Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel (which means, God with us). HYMN OF PRAISE.... O Come, O Come, Emmanuel... LSB 357, vs. 1, 4, 5 Solo: O come, O come, Emmanuel, And ransom captive Israel, That mourns in lonely exile here Until the Son of God appear. O come, Thou Branch of Jesse s tree, Free them from Satan s tyranny That trust Thy mighty pow r to save, And give them vict ry o er the grave. xrefrain O come, thou Key of David, come, And open wide our heav nly home; Make safe the way that leads on high, And close the path to misery. xrefrain STORY.......................Innkeeper, Krystle Marcis CAROL.... Away In a Manger....LSB 365 Children: Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay, The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay. The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes. I love Thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky, And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh. x Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask Thee to stay x Close by me forever and love me, I pray. x Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care, x And take us to heaven to live with Thee there.
