All Sunday School & Bible classes will meet in the church at 9:30 to hear him talk about the ministry of Camp CILCA. A door offering will be taken to support the camp's mission. KRISPY KREME FELLOWSHIP hour this morning 9:00-9:30in the Parish hall. The TFC will be serving Krispy Kreme donuts. Donations will be encouraged. They will also be selling boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts. All proceeds will go to the National Lutheran Youth Gathering in New Orleans in July.

THE ADULT CLASSES, AND SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES will have their final lesson of The Story which was started in September. It will have selected stories from the book of Revelation, covering the End of Time. ALL CLASSES MEET IN THE SANCTUARY AT 9:30. NEW ADULT BIBLE CLASSES NEXT SUNDAY: In the Fellowship hall. Pastor Chris On Sunday May 1st we will take some time to get to know our Confirmands. We will be giving you an opportunity to meet some of the Confirmands before the service during our Bible School Hour. Please join us and get to know those who are confirming their faith in the 10:45 service. Jim Fairchild s will be a 6 week series on Heaven, It s Not What You think by Chip Ingram. There will be a DVD presentation, followed by discussion. VOTER S MEETING: Our quarterly voters' meeting Today at 1pm. We must have a quorum present to conduct the business of the church. Please plan to attend! OUR SEMINARIAN, AARON BUELTMANN - Will be receiving his first Divine Call at the Call Day Service at Concordia Seminary on Tuesday, at 7pm. The service will be broadcast live at: http://callday.csl.edu BANQUET & QUESTIONING AT CHURCH - You are encouraged to invite your family, relatives, special friends, baptismal sponsors, mentors, etc. to this special event on Friday, April 29th, 6-8pm. The Church pays for the immediate family, baptismal sponsors, your child's mentor & spouse. (Please be sure to invite the mentors!) Additional guests are $8 per person to be paid on arrival. Please reply to this email with the total number of seats you will need at your table by Wednesday, April 27th! Questioning will follow the dinner. HELP FOR KIDS TO GO TO CAMP CILCA: Our congregational Thrivent group will provide $40 for the first 5 children from our congregation who register for summer camp. Please contact the church office. DISASTER PREPAREDNESS PRESENTATION today at 6pm, Trinity Lutheran church in Pekin will host a presentation on disaster preparedness. Reverend Thomas Heren, pastor at Our Savior Lutheran in Washington, which was hit by a EF-4 tornado on November 17, 2013. Rev. Thomas Heren will be sharing his experiences as a pastor of this congregation that reached out to the community, while at the same time was dealing with the damage to their church building and property.

ASCENSION SERVICE AT ST. JOHN S PEKIN: You are invited to attend a festival service of Holy Communion on the Ascension of Our Lord at St. John s Lutheran Church in Pekin on Thursday, May 5 at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome. TIM HAWKINS - Christian comedian & musician will be in concert at Grace Presbyterian in Peoria on Sunday, May 8th at 7pm. Order tickets online at TrinityCommunications.org or by calling 888-780-1116. 2016 CAMP CILCA HOG ROAST: Camp CILCA will hold it s Annual Hog Roast on Sunday, May 29 th. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, baked beans and desserts. The day begins with worship at 10:30am. Lunch is served from 11:30am-2:30pm. Adults are $8.00, and children ages 4-12 are $5.00, children 3 and under are free. Go for a weekend of camping, swimming, campfire devotions, and more. Check out cilca.org for more information VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Please save the date for this year s Vacation Bible School entitled: Barnyard Roundup Jesus Gathers Us Together which will be held 6:00 8:00 pm each evening beginning Sunday, June 5 - Thursday, June 9 at GSLS. WE NEED AND LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS and are asking YOU to prayerfully consider volunteering your time and talents. If you would like to help with this event, please contact Stephanie Smith, our church s VBS representative as soon as possible! 2016 LUTHERAN SINGLES ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE: This national conference will be held close by at Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton on June 24-26 featuring national speaker & author, Chad Bird form Texas. The $90 fee includes 2 meals & a live performance of "Cheaper by the Dozen" at the Corn Stock Theater in Peoria. Make new friends from all over the country. To register send an email to: president@lsalcms.org. REFRIGERATOR CLEANING: The Dorcas guild will be cleaning the refrigerator on their work day the 4 th Thursday of each month. If you put anything in there, and you would like it kept, please label it so that it is not thrown out when the refrigerator is cleaned each month. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Wayne Lennox (Grandfather of Charleigh & Bryan Lennox) put on Hospice care. We pray for our church's financial needs, that members will give generously and gladly to God, Who has given so much. We pray for the GSLS board as they seek God s will in their search for a new principal and 3 teachers.
