Genesis 1 :26-28 God s Blessing RERC 2-01a Mystery of God 1of3 Then God said, Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. P7

Genesis 1 :26-28 RERC 2-01a Mystery of God God s Blessing God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth. 2of3 P7

Genesis 1 :28-31 RERC 2-01a Mystery of God 3of3 Care for the Earth God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food. And it was so. God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. P7

Luke 12:16-21 RERC 2-01a Mystery of God The Rich Landowner Then he told them a parable: The land of a rich man produced abundantly. And he thought to himself, What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops? Then he said, I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 1of2 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry. P7

Luke 12:16-21 RERC 2-01a Mystery of God The Rich Landowner But God said to him, You fool! This very night your life is being demanded of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be? So it is with those who store up treasures for themselves but are not rich towards God. 2of2 P7

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they realized that what they had done was wrong. They had made a BAD choice/decision. Adam and Eve had "Free Will" to make their own choices, and they chose to disobey what God had told them. The result of that wrong choice was that the "nature" of our spirits would be forever changed that, when faced with choices, it would be "natural" for us to make the wrong choice. This is why we need the example of Jesus and God s grace to help us choose rightly in our lives.
