Ministry Involvement at Apex Baptist Church: Previous Yokefellow, First Impressions, AWANA, Audio/Visual, and Setup and Media at our Friendship campus. From Ben: Growing up in Raleigh, I learned through Sunday School and RA s that I needed Jesus in my heart to save me from my sins. I was baptized as a youth, but my college years and beyond were a period of backsliding where I did many things of which I am very ashamed. Fortunately, my family never stopped praying for me, and God put key people in my path, including Glenda, that caused conviction in my heart and a change in my direction. Now, with Jesus Christ as my Savior and my Lord, I am excited to have this opportunity to serve my Apex Baptist Church family as a deacon!

From Bill: As a teenager, I was active in the church and youth group and considered myself a Christian. I was doing and saying all of the right things. It wasn t until my sophomore year in college, however, that I truly discerned what it meant to surrender your life to Christ and to have a personal relationship with him. I asked Christ into my heart as a 20-yearold young man one afternoon, prayed the sinner s prayer with my fiancé (now wife), repented and turned from my old ways. Jesus changed my life and I have an urgency to spread God s word to others so that together we can equip one another to handle the pressures Christians face each day and to glorify Him in all we do.
MARK WALPOLE Mark and Shari have been married since Oct 7, 1995. They now have three children Emma (16), Kathryn (15) and Aaron (13). Ministry Involvement at Apex Baptist Church: Home Life Group Leader, Student Leader (currently leader in 10th grade). From Mark: I was raised in a Christian home and am very thankful to my parents for that. As a young boy, I recognized my sin and the grace that God provides us thru his Son Jesus Christ and gave my life to him. After a few years of not living for Christ, I rededicated my life to Him in my early 20 s and was re-baptized as a public profession of my rededication. Each and every day, I know that without Him, I am a fallen sinner and am thankful for the grace He provides me as my heavenly Father.
