And blessed be your name, when I m found in the desert place; Though I walk through the wilderness, blessed be your name. Every blessing you pour out, I ll turn back to praise; And when the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say, Blessed be the name of the Lord, blessed be your name; Blessed be the name of the Lord, blessed be your glorious name. Blessed be your name, when the sun s shining down on me; When the world s all as it should be, blessed be your name.

And blessed be your name on the road marked with suffering. Though there s pain in the offering, blessed be your name. You give and take away, you give and take away, My heart will choose to say, Lord, blessed be your name! Holy Spirit Bryan Torwalt and Katie Torwalt There's nothing worth more that will ever come close No thing can compare You're our living hope Your Presence I've tasted and seen of the sweetest of loves Where my heart becomes free and my shame is undone In Your Presence Lord Holy Spirit You are welcome here Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere Your glory God is what our hearts long for To be overcome by Your Presence Lord (Your Presence Lord) (Your Presence) (Oh God how we love Your Presence Lord) Let us become more aware of Your Presence Let us experience the glory of Your goodness (Lord) Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace) Joel Houston & Jonas Myrin All these pieces, broken and scattered In mercy gathered, mended and whole Empty-handed, but not forsaken I ve been set free I ve been set free Amazing grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me Oh, I once was lost, but now I am found Was blind but now I see Oh, I can see you now Oh, I can see the love in your eyes Laying yourself down Raising up the broken to life You take our failure, you take our weakness You set your treasure in jars of clay

So take this heart, Lord, I ll be your vessel The world to see your life in me Scripture Reading Psalm 13 (page 429) 1 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I bear pain in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all day long? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? 3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God! Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death, 4 and my enemy will say, "I have prevailed"; my foes will rejoice because I am shaken. 5 But I trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. 6 I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me. How like a widow she has become, she that was great among the nations! She that was a princess among the provinces has become a vassal. 2 She weeps bitterly in the night, with tears on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has no one to comfort her; all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they have become her enemies. 3 Judah has gone into exile with suffering and hard servitude; she lives now among the nations, and finds no resting place; her pursuers have all overtaken her in the midst of her distress. 4 The roads to Zion mourn, for no one comes to the festivals; all her gates are desolate, her priests groan; her young girls grieve, and her lot is bitter. 5 Her foes have become the masters, her enemies prosper, because the Lord has made her suffer for the multitude of her transgressions; her children have gone away, captives before the foe. 6 From daughter Zion has departed all her majesty. Her princes have become like stags that find no pasture; they fled without strength before the pursuer. 7 Jerusalem remembers, in the days of her affliction and wandering, all the precious things that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into the hand of the foe, and there was no one to help her, the foe looked on mocking over her downfall. 8 Jerusalem sinned grievously, so she has become a mockery; all who honored her despise her, for they have

seen her nakedness; she herself groans, and turns her face away. 9 Her uncleanness was in her skirts; she took no thought of her future; her downfall was appalling, with none to comfort her. "O Lord, look at my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed!" 10 Enemies have stretched out their hands over all her precious things; she has even seen the nations invade her sanctuary, those whom you forbade to enter your congregation. 11 All her people groan as they search for bread; they trade their treasures for food to revive their strength. Look, O Lord, and see how worthless I have become. 12 Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which was brought upon me, which the Lord inflicted on the day of his fierce anger. 13 From on high he sent fire; it went deep into my bones; he spread a net for my feet; he turned me back; he has left me stunned, faint all day long. 14 My transgressions were bound into a yoke; by his hand they were fastened together; they weigh on my neck, sapping my strength; the Lord handed me over to those whom I cannot withstand. 15 The Lord has rejected all my warriors in the midst of me; he proclaimed a time against me to crush my young men; the Lord has trodden as in a wine press the virgin daughter Judah. 16 For these things I weep; my eyes flow with tears; for a comforter is far from me, one to revive my courage; my children are desolate, for the enemy has prevailed. 17 Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her; the Lord has commanded against Jacob that his neighbors should become his foes; Jerusalem has become a filthy thing among them. 18 The Lord is in the right, for I have rebelled against his word; but hear, all you peoples, and behold my suffering; my young women and young men have gone into captivity. 19 I called to my lovers but they deceived me; my priests and elders perished in the city while seeking food to revive their strength. 20 See, O Lord, how distressed I am; my stomach churns, my heart is wrung within me, because I have been very rebellious. In the street the sword bereaves; in the house it is like death. 21 They heard how I was groaning, with no one to comfort me. All my enemies heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it. Bring on the day you have announced, and let them be as I am. 22 Let all their evil doing come before you; and deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my transgressions; for my groans are many and my heart is faint. <<SENT>> Response Song Prayers of the People & the Lord s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Great is Thy Faithfulness William Runyan; words: Thomas Chisholm Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with thee; Thou changest not, thy compassions they fail not; As thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.

Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed thy hand hath provided- Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above, Join with all nature in manifold witness To thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! CURRENT SERMON SERIES MANY VOICES: A Borderless Gospel Borders and boundaries provide a sense of place, distinctiveness, definition, and sometimes a healthy sense of security. But they can also define spaces of complacency and comfort or become barriers that divide, separate, and create obstacles to the full life into

which Jesus invites us. This summer, special guests from diverse places around the country and the world will serve as our preachers. We ve given them a great question to frame their messages: From where you are in the Kingdom, what do you sense the Spirit saying to the Church for this time? It is a challenging question that will engage a gospel that transcends boundaries and invites us to follow Jesus into the great adventure of Kingdom life.
