1 Elementary Scripture Memory Grade 6 September RIGHTEOUS KIDS 5 If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. God is generous. He enjoys giving to all people, so God will give you wisdom. 6 But when you ask God, you must believe. Do not doubt God. Anyone who doubts is like a wave in the sea. The wind blows the wave up and down. James 1:5-6 (ICB) But the wisdom that comes from God is like this: First, it is pure. Then it is also peaceful, gentle, and easy to please. This wisdom is always ready to help those who are troubled and to do good for others. This wisdom is always fair and honest. James 3:17(ICB) 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His great power. 11 Wear the full armor of God. Wear God s armour so that you can fight against the devil s evil tricks. 12 Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly world. 13 That is why you need to get God s full armor. Then on the day of evil you will be able to stand strong. And when you have finished the whole fight, you will still be standing. Ephesians 6:10-13 (ICB) 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord s people. Ephesians 6:14-18 (NIV) October THANKFUL HEARTS Everything you say and everything you do should all be done for Jesus your Lord. And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus. Colossians 3:17 (ICB) 6 The person who plants a little will have a small harvest. But the person who plants a lot will have a big harvest. Each one should give, then, what he has decided in his heart to give. He should not give if it makes him sad. And he should not give if he thinks he is forced to give. God loves the person who gives happily. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (ICB) 6 Do not worry about anything. But pray and ask God for everything you need. And you pray, always giving thanks. 7 And God s peace will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The peace that God gives is so great that we cannot understand it. 8 Brothers, continue to think about the things that are good and worthy of
2 praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected. Philippians 4:6-8 (ICB) Honor the Lord by giving part of your wealth. Deuteronomy 16:17 (NIV) November CONFIDENCE IN CHRIST Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. So don t be afraid. The Lord your God will be with you everywhere you go. Luke 6:37 (NIV) March RENEWING THE MIND A good man out of the good treasure of His heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. Matthew 12:35 (NKJV) Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16 (NIV) 22 You were taught to leave your old self to stop living the evil way you lived before. That old self becomes worse because people are fooled by the evil things they want to do. 23 But you were taught to be made new in your hearts. 24 You were taught to become a new person. That new person is made to be like God made to be truly good and holy. 25 So you must stop telling lies. Tell each other the truth because we all belong to each other in the same body. Then you will be able to test and approve what God s will is His good, pleasing and perfect will. 5 April PROMISES OF GOD But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I still live in my body, but I live by faith in the Son of God. He loved me and gave Himself to save me. Galatians 2:20 (ICB) But the Holy Spirit will come to you. Then you will receive power. You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world. Acts 1:8 (ICB) 9 If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
