Capital District Religious Leaders Conference 2009 A world at war For many people, religion is bad news. It is blamed for causing divisions, hostilities and unrest. It is alleged that religion, which is supposed to be the last refuge of peace in a world of war and conflict, has instead become a cause of destruction and bloodshed. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and The Hindu Temple Society of the Capital District are organizing an interfaith dialogue, on Sunday December 13th 2009, as an effort to shorten the gap between faiths and to demonstrate that we can live together in the spirit of acceptance, harmony, and compassion. Seven World Faith representatives will shed light on how their respective religious founders teachings can lead to world peace and harmony. The aim of this conference is to argue that true religion does not cause hatred, persecution, prejudice and disorder. Our goal is to look beyond the superficial differences and to discover the commonalities that forms the basis of these various religions Program Agenda Sunday, December 13th 2009 10:15a Registration 10:30a Welcome by The Hindu Temple Society of Capital District, Inc. 10:35a Welcome by the moderator Ali Murtaza AMC.
