Thanks for your interest in Harvest Life Groups! Life Groups are member-led, home-based small groups whose purpose is to help every adult Connect, Grow, and Serve others. They meet primarily on Wednesday evenings concurrently with Kid City and Catalyst, so that parents with kids of all ages can meet with their group without worrying about arranging outside childcare. Statistics show that people nearly always remain in church when they find at least seven spiritual friends within six months of their arrival. Fewer healthy relationships reduces the chance of remaining, while more increases the probability. Life Group's first priority is to help each participant Connect with these vital friendships. One of our basic assumptions about every person who walks through the door is that they are on a journey of becoming more of what Christ wants them to be as his follower. Consequently, Life Group's second priority is helping people Grow in their personal spiritual walk as disciples by examining the word of God. This discussion time emphasizes practical application of the Sunday teaching and making good decisions that lead to the abundant life and fruitfulness Jesus offers to all. Finally, our greatest joy and fulfillment comes not through focusing exclusively on ourselves, but rather when we honor and give of ourselves to others. Time is set aside in each Life Group meeting to Serve one another through praying over specific needs, decisions, and goals people share with one another in a safe, encouraging environment. We hope you will use this directory to identify a Life Group that can serve as a forum for you to Connect, Grow, and Serve at Harvest. Welcome to the adventure! We have lived in Canyon for about six years, and have been a part of Harvest a little over four years. This whole Life Group concept was totally new for us. I went to Life Group the first time with closed ears and heart shut. God opened my ears and my heart, and it has made a difference! I think about the times we have shared things in Life Group, that we personally are struggling with, and there is no doubt our group is praying for us, because we get a text, a phone call, or just some kind word. We know our Life Group has our back. - Terry and Vicky Buckelew 5

It has been a great experience! People in our Life Group are in different phases of life. We know that we can go to our group with our problems and they will get on their hands and knees and pray about our situations as we pray about theirs. We didn't have a relationship with our son for 18 months. He is on a kidney transplant list, and the support and love that has come in from our Life Group has really held us together. Gradually, the prayers of our Life Group have brought him back, and we have a relationship with him now. Our family is finally coming back together! - Jim and Shelly Bayless 7

What about my kids during Life Group? What a great question! Here at Harvest, we provide an opportunity for kids of all ages to receive age appropriate ministry on Wednesday nights during the time our Life Groups meet. Kid City Wednesdays are an awesome time of learning how to live life God s way! From exploring Bible stories with our littlest Kid City members to diving into Bible skills with our school-aged kids, your child will begin to feel comfortable with their Bible and have a better understanding of God s Word and how to apply it in their daily lives. They will experience dynamic worship, powerful prayer, and lifechanging encounters with the Holy Spirit. Your children will not want to miss a Wednesday night! Drop O" & Pick Up - You are welcome to bring your Infant-5th grader to Kid City beginning at 6:15pm on Wednesday evenings. Please check in your child at one of our check-in stations and take them to their designated area. Please be sure to bring the corresponding check-out tag when picking up your child at 8:15pm. Children will only be released with this tag. I m so excited to partner with you in helping you raise up kids who will transform the world for Christ by making disciples who make His way known! -Dana Kimmell Director of Kid City (806) 676-1777 dana@harvestchristianfellowship.org org "We began serving in Kid City just a month or so after becoming members. It s been such a blessing to watch these sweet kiddos grow with Christ. We are not just ministering to them, but they help us to grow in our walk as well. Our daughter is always ready to go to Kid City and has loved attending the summer camp. She is learning from such caring volunteers who take the time to pray over her. The curriculum is fun and gets everyone digging into the Word. Catalyst has become a big part of our son s life. He has learned so much and gets to fellowship with some remarkable students and leaders. Every Wednesday brings a new opportunity for him to worship and become closer to our Lord. - Matt and Holly Gonzales 940 940 EXPERIENCE 10

At Harvest, we believe that men are created by God to be warriors, lovers, and leaders in every facet of life. We believe that as men become fully alive in Christ our culture will reflect this transformation. For these reasons, we put a strong emphasis on Men's Ministry. Join us each week on Tuesday morning at 6:30am in the Co"ee Room as we cover a wide array of topics to equip us for this journey called LIFE. I look forward to seeing you there. will be open! (Names) CORE is one of our favorite events at Harvest. It is a time when the leadership and members of the church pour into one another for ministry, fellowship, and encouragement. Our passion is to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ Ephesians 4:12-13 Come and join us as we build one another up to the fullness of Christ through prayer, worship, and a life-giving message. 14
