No matter where we go or what we do, your love encircles us ahead and behind, gently leading and guiding and blessing. We praise you for your love and your faithful presence in our lives.
May your spirit move in our hearts and minds as we worship together. Examine our attitudes and actions, lay bare the things we need to confess, challenge us with your word, and guide us on to paths that lead to life. For we are your people, called by your name. We treat our bodies as trash cans for junk food, not as sanctuaries for your Spirit. We get drunk on the seductions of our society, while daintily sipping at your living water. We doze under the tree of temptation, hoping you won't see us and expect us to get up and follow Jesus. Forgive us, our heart's only hope. Your grace mends our brokenness making us whole; your compassion removes our sin, making us new; your voice speaks tenderly to us, silencing our pride. They look wonderful and were made possible with your support of the grocery card program---a big thank you to everyone. Cards will be available for payment and pick-up August 6 th after each service in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Haines Administrative Center. EPC BACKPACK PROGRAM needs a few Good Men and Women to help with packing the weekend food bags for school children during the 2017-18 school year. After a number of years of volunteering, we had a few people retire this year. We have two teams - 1 st team packs 1 st and 3 rd Monday at 8:15 at York Benevolent Association 2 nd team packs 2 nd and 4 th Monday at 8:15 at York Benevolent Association Each time slot involves 2 ½ hours of service. Our initial need is for the 1 st team time slot, but volunteer subs are also very much appreciated. If interested, please contact Fran Mount, Jo Watson, or Lee Hankey.
