All RHBC Committees using a $$ Budget line-item It is that BUDGET time of year again! All Committee Chairpersons should meet with their Committees for planning and then make a written 2016 Budget Request to the Finance Committee no later than today, October 4th! This month, we will be starting a new Outreach Ministry here at RHBC. We are instructed in scripture to, Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you (Matt. 28:19-20). This new ministry is called CREW, which stands for Christians, Reaching, Encouraging, Witnessing. We will meet twice a month. In October, we ll meet on the 6th and 22nd @ 7 PM. We will do different outreach activities. If you have any questions about this new ministry or would like to be a part of it, please contact Pastor Tyler. We will be collecting candy for the Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat now through October 25th. Collection bins are in the connecting corridor between the back door of the Sanctuary and the back door of the Administrative Building.

Join us on Sunday, October 11th for our 180th Homecoming Celebration. We will begin with our Morning Worship at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary. Following the service, there will be a Covered Dish Luncheon in our new Christian Ministry Facility. Please bring food by 10 AM and use the main foyer entrance, where someone will be waiting take your dishes to the kitchen for you. Be sure to label your dish with your name and the contents. And don t forget to bring tea! Our guest preacher for the worship service will be Rev. Larry McClure, who served as the Pastor of Rocky Hock from 1970-1978. Rev. McClure is currently retired and lives in Denham Springs, LA. The History Committee will have a room set up for everyone to enjoy pictures, documents, and mementos from our church s past and present. We look forward to this special day of worship and fellowship as we reflect on what God has done and continues to do here at Rocky Hock Baptist Church. BAPTIST WOMEN KICK- OFF THE NEW CHURCH YEAR! On Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 PM in the Special Function Room, the Baptist Women will kick off the year! We will have a time of worship, fellowship, and missions focus. Mary Nixon will be here to share her mission experiences with us. This event is for ALL women in our church. Plan to attend and bring a friend! Please sign up on the sheet in the vestibule so we will know for how many to prepare. YOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS October 11 - RHBC Homecoming - Students are needed to help bring food in from members as they arrive. Meet in the kitchen at 9:30 AM. October 29 - RHBC Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat - Students are needed to help with games. Please arrive by 5 PM to help set up. October 30 - Fall Youth Event - Students will travel to a local corn maze for fun and games and then meet at The Barn (Neal & Felisa Bass ) for dinner, a bon fire, and fellowship time. Assignments to choose from include Prison Ministry, Food and Clothing Giveaway, Local Church Ministry, Shut-in Ministry, Birthing Center, Home Repair, and School Ministry.
