RES TO RA TION - the replacement or giving back of something lost, stolen, etc. - the act of restoring or state of being restored, as to a former or original condition, place, etc. - something restored, replaced, or reconstructed Revelation 21:5 - Then the One who was seated on the throne said: Behold, I make all things new. FOR 25 YEARS, God has been making all things new in the lives of people through the ministry of CrossWinds Church. From the addict who has made a new start, to the broken marriage that found hope. From the discouraged who have found peace, to the ashamed who found forgiveness. From the forgotten who ve found community to the lost who ve been FOUND. CrossWinds has always been a place that tells the story of something broken being made whole, complete new. It s the story of Redemption. Reclamation. Renewal. God has used this church to tell His story of Restoration. And now the next chapter begins. But the story remains the same. And we re committed to telling that story more powerfully than ever before. We ll tell it through the very campus we build as our new church home. We ll take the Freisman Dairy and repurpose it to become a place where God continues to change lives. We will redeem it. Reclaim it. Renew it. Restore it. And as we do, God will continue that same work in the lives of all who come.

THE MASTER PLAN Lots of land. 2 creeks. Magnificent trees. A historic presence. And 180,000 cars per day that drive by on the 580 freeway. This is our new church property. Until now, CrossWinds has been on a dead-end street in the warehouse section of Dublin-but now a new chapter begins. A plan to utilize the incredible features of this most visible site. A design to draw in those who need God. A pathway to a church experience unlike any they ve had before. The Master Plan includes 4 main buildings that embrace the natural features and agrarian history of this property. A large monument sign is positioned at the entry, with maximum visibility from the freeway. The staff offices are adjacent to the historic dairy buildings that make up The Village just north of the creek. The Children s and Youth buildings of the long-term Master Plan will be on the wide open southern secion of the property, near two of the historic barns. Views extend past the nearby golf course to the Pleasanton Ridge. Plenty of room to run around, plenty of room to grow. Newly constucted bridges and a covered trellis will lead across the creeks to the 2,500 seat Main Auditorium on the most visible, and arguably the most beautiful, part of the site. And the time to start our journey to this new church property has come! The lease at Sierra Court is up for renewal in September 2014. Instead of a long-term lease extension at $32,000 per month, we re choosing to utilize this monthly payment for a mortgage to build the first church structure on the dairy parcel. In August the church received approval from a lender, and the financing is now in place to begin construction.
PHASE 1
PHASE 1 & THE VILLAGE The primary structure will be a 15,000 square foot single-level building on the northwest section of the parcel. This will be our Phase 1 Auditorium. This initial building will, by necessity, be flexible. In the next couple of years when the church sells the original parcel, the long-term main auditorium will be built. When that happens, this Phase 1 structure can be re-purposed again and again: it might convert to the Children s building, or possibly be the next Youth building. Long-term, the plan is for it to be a 2-story staff office which could even house a daycare or pre-school center on the first floor. Coupled with construction of the Phase 1 auditorium, we will renovate the dairy building and some structures in the Village. Staff offices, along with spaces for small groups, counseling and playgrounds will breathe life into this collection of waiting dairy buildings. Also in Phase 1, modular structures located across the courtyard from the auditorium will be used for our Children s and Youth programs. The interiors of the rooms will be creatively themed to enhance these ministries. And knowing that modular buildings have a tendency to look plain on the outside, our architects have added specially designed exterior features that will transform these modular structures to fit the rich character of the surrounding site. In addition to what we will be creating in Phase 1, God has already provided incredible natural beauty on this site! How great will it be to have an outdoor meeting on a deck overlooking the creek? Enjoy an evening in front of the firepit? Find your kids in a treehouse? Attend a worship night in a barn? Or meet with your small group in a 1958 Airstream trailer? How about a barn wedding? Campouts. Creek walks. Rope swings. Unique playgrounds. Chicken coops. Outdoor water features that convert to a baptismal. There s lots of room, and a God s given us a big vision. The future is bright.
WHAT ABOUT YOU? Here are some ways God can use you to be part of this story: 1) Continue giving toward your Not Without You commitment. Many of you have been a part of the financial journey we ve been on to make this possible, and you ve been giving regularly to help support this work. We d ask that you continue faithfully giving to meet your commitment. Others of you are new to CrossWinds and haven t yet had a chance to partner with us in making this possible. We invite you to pray about what kind of financial commitment God might be asking you to make. (To contribute specifically toward this initiative, write building project in the memo on your contribution.) 2) Partner with us by providing something you re uniquely suited to provide. Maybe God s given you the ability to help us install lighting. Maybe it s air conditioning units. Maybe you ve got the ability to get us sod at a lower price. It could be that God s got you where He s got you for such a time as this. And there is a unique role you can play in this story. If you have an idea of how you can help, contact Dave Nielsen at dnielsen@crosswindschurch.org.
3) Join our volunteer work crews that are renovating The Village. While the Phase 1 auditorium and children s / student buildings will be designed and built by chosen professionals, we re going to put our own sweat and effort into restoring The Village. This includes homes, meeting space, wedding reception space, barns, gardens, prayer paths, and the old dairy building. We ll be having work parties at the dairy every Saturday, 9am to 12 noon, starting now. All skill levels are needed. Contact Daniel Curtis at dcurtis@ crosswindschurch.org and watch the NWY board for more information. 4) Pray. One of our values at CrossWinds is Pray like it depends on God, work like it depends on you. Many of us are working hard to make this project a reality, but it is nothing without the supernatural transformation that only God can do. In Ezekiel 37, God says: I will put breath into you and bring you to life. Pray that He breathes life into this old farm, and that through it He brings life to those who are searching for Him.
