DEVOTIONAL SOAKING Graham Cooke - Brilliant TV Devotional Series Episode 7: It s Over! Something Got Finished Before You Started Welcome to our Devotional Mentoring Series here on the Nature of Freedom. This is our last segment in Chapter 1 of the book. Today s program is a devotional soaking session. I want you to relax. Put down pen and paper. Get comfortable and listen. A transcript of this program will be available as part of this broadcast together with some thoughts on how to use it as part of your devotional times going forward. I want you to listen and let the sound and the passion of God wash over you. Listen to it as part of your devotional time for the rest of this week. Use it as a refresher for your devotional times when required. Let s begin: Beloved: We will never leave you nor forsake you. Our Presence is a constant in your life because our Presence depends on Who We are for you regardless of how well or badly you are doing. We put Christ into you and you into Christ so that we [not you] would be responsible for Abiding Presence. We abide with you first then we teach you how to remain in the place of abiding with us. We initiate...you respond. We go ahead of you into all your life situations. Then we walk with you through each of them. In that process we are your habitation in the spirit. You live with us in our space and you accept the love, joy and peace in believing that We are the Ones changing you. You are not changing yourself. As we renew your mind, the process of transformation will happen in joy, peace and rest. Beloved, we love this process of you living and moving in our Presence. You are our workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works. Christ in you is our focal point for all your learning and becoming. This is the foundation of all growth, favor, promises and upgrades. You in Christ are the focal point for expression of thanksgiving, rejoicing, trust and faith. Christ in you gives you the power to look at us and be radiant. In Christ, We will bless you and keep you. Our face will smile upon you. You will receive constant grace. We will consistently be looking at you to give you peace and rest in all that we want to be for you.whatever your need, you have the same name as Us. Christ in you is what will invoke and release our blessing at all times. Abiding in Us is at the very center of Our relationship. We abide in you as part of Our unity with each other. You abide in us because We will never leave or abandon you. We initiate Abiding...you respond by remaining and dwelling. We know that your old man is dead...we watched him die with Jesus. We know that you are a new creation. We watched your new man rise from the dead when We resurrected Jesus. Your old man cannot rise from the dead because we forbid it. Christ in you is the catalyst for a whole new person to emerge in your life. You in Christ gets to partner with Christ in you, the Expectation of fulfillment and glory. You are surrounded by a powerful atmosphere of grace. Grace is the empowering Presence of your God that enables you to become the person that We see as we look at you! Beloved, you are learning the life of beholding and becoming. As you learn to see us in all things...that vision will overwhelm your identity and you will respond to us by becoming made in our image. You are learning the art of belonging and believing. We are in charge of your new man because your new creation is Our Life in you! You belong to Us and We have given Ourselves to you. Your part is simply to believe that We are One with you. Nothing and no-one can ever cause us to be separated. We are your dwelling place, your habitation in the Spirit. Trust Us when we say that We Abide in you so that you may remain with Us. We initiate...you respond. In this place of safety, you are learning how to grow up into all things in Christ. We gave you a personal trainer, the incomparable Holy Spirit, who has the joy of changing you, guiding your responses and upgrading your experience with Us in The Way, Truth, and Life of Christ within. We love this relational process of Christ in you and you in Him. All your circumstances are your training ground to continue receiving Christ and growing in your response to Him. May not be published publicly without written permission 2

We love empowering you. We enjoy your dependency on Us. We have peace with you. We have a huge and enjoyable patience with you because we are not working on your flaws. Jesus already took them away. We are lovingly and patiently upgrading your new man to a place of freedom, power and authority. We are teaching you fullness, Abundance and Favor in Christ. As He is...so are you...in this world. We grant you Christ s perspective that you may see what we see in your life. We bestow upon you the Mind of Jesus so that your renewed thinking can affect a powerful life altering transformation. We impart to you through scripture, via the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, the language of Heaven. Literally the same language that we speak. It is the language of possibilities not problems. The language of trust, faith and promise. The same language compatible with grace, mercy and the Fruit of the Spirit. Our voice is constantly full of Goodness and Kindness. We want your voice to be the same. Your new and developing identity is to be made in Our image and Our likeness. Beloved, all things are hugely in your favor. All things are for your sakes. No matter how hard the circumstances of life may become...the Truth that sets you free is always the same, yesterday, today and forever. That truth is that Our yoke is easy and Our burden is light. No need for you to be weary and heavy laden when Our spirit of rest is so available to you. Come to Us. New every morning is our faithfulness to you. Our compassion does not fail as you dwell in it. Our lovingkindness does not cease as you learn to abide in it. We have come to give you life, love, favor and blessing. You have an unfair advantage over all your circumstances. It becomes real as you practice the joy and peace in believing...which you will learn from Our love to you. My dear one, now is the time for you to remove all the excuses from your life. I cannot wait to resource you. I cannot resist the destiny of My Beloved. Whatever you wanted. I wanted it first. You cannot have a longing that has not already be an ache in My heart. May not be published publicly without written permission 3

This is your moment, your time to rise up and look at us in a new way. To allow the wonder that We felt at your new birth to overwhelm your heart in a fresh way. On Earth, My child, as it is in Heaven. As He is so are you in this world. You have favor in Our eyes. Listen to this constantly and let your spirit be refreshed and your mind be renewed. Speak Our language to your own heart. No longer be stale, double minded and without proper confession. These things We have spoken so that Our joy may be in you and that therefore your joy may be made full! ENGAGING WITH A DEVOTIONAL WORD: The primary focus here is in hearing not just reading. Take time to really listen to God s heart for you. Listen several times. Just soak in His passion for you. Do not seek understanding yet. Seek His passion, love and joy for you. Allow that to be part of your own response in worship. Hear the sound of His love, kindness, joy, gentleness, and goodness. Let His word touch you deeply. Respond to Him with thanks and rejoicing. Make a note of what touched your heart or eased your mind. Take time to register how you feel. Allow yourself to become open to the Father. Let your mind and heart be refreshed. To mediate means to think deeply about something or someone. To explore with mind and heart. To allow what you think to touch you deeply. When you are ready, begin to write down thoughts and ideas and then enjoy following up each of them. Each thought is a key that opens a door to more Presence and a greater reality of God. Enjoy the richness of this relational process with Him. May not be published publicly without written permission 4
