The Babylonian Furnace An ore smelter. Babylonia knew iron working, and used it to great military effect. A brick kiln. Stone was rare in Babylonia, and so the Babylonians used brick rather extensively. Brick normally must be cured at 1000 C. But a Babylonian brick kiln might have operated even hotter at 1300 C, the temperature normally required to fire the sort of coloredglaze bricks that Babylonian artisans utilized.

Others Triggered Old Self In Nebuchadnezzar Dan 3:13 15 Then Nebuchadnezzar in [his] rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, [Is it] true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; [well]: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who [is] that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Nebuchadnezzar s Old Self Energized The Hebrew s New Self Dan 3:16-19 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we [are] not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
1. Courage Will Bring Out The Worst In People Dan 3:19-22 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: [therefore] he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that [were] in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, [and] to cast [them] into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their [other] garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
2. The Robber Might Push You Down. But JESUS Will Pick You Up! Dan 3:23-24 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, [and] spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

3. New Self Courage Will Make Kings Lose Courage Dan 3:26-28 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, [and] spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come [hither]. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. [Then] Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed [be] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Babylonian Bricks Archeologists have found a brick-making sophisticated furnace facility measuring a city block on each side. that appears to have been used for executions. It served two duties: 1. Appears to have been used for executions. 2. Brick Kline Bricks of Nebuchadnezzar's empire were so well made that even today they remain in excellent condition. They were used for hundreds of years as construction materials after the decline of the city of Babylon. One of the reasons is the sophisticated design of the firing furnaces.
Courage Cowardly Lion: Courage! What makes a king out of a slave? Courage! What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage! What makes the elephant charge his tusk in the misty mist, or the dusky dusk? What makes the muskrat guard his musk? Courage! What makes the sphinx the seventh wonder? Courage! What makes the dawn come up like thunder? Courage! What makes the Hottentot so hot? What puts the "ape" in apricot? What have they got that I ain't got? Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Woodsman: Courage! Decisions In The Soul Must Be In Place Inside The Body Before The Fire Comes
I am old enough to know that victory is often a thing deferred, and rarely at the summit of courage. What is at the summit of courage, I think, is freedom. The freedom that comes with the knowledge that no earthly thing can break you. Paula Giddings
It requires more courage to suffer than to die. Napoléon Bonaparte Last, but by no means least, courage moral courage, the courage of one's convictions, the courage to see things through. The world is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It's the age-old struggle the roar of the crowd on one side and the voice of your conscience on the other. Douglas MacArthur
Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of a readiness to die. G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy, ch. 6 (1909) Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow. Mary Anne Radmacher Courage is rarely reckless or foolish... courage usually involves a highly realistic estimate of the odds that must be faced. Margaret Truman
Every great work, every big accomplishment, has been brought into manifestation through holding to the vision, and often just before the big achievement, comes apparent failure and discouragement. Florence Scovel Shinn, from her book The Game of Life (and How to Play it) (1925)
Investing In The Bank of Your Soul With Your Spirit And Body! The closer one gets to purpose the devil escalates his attack Be not overcome with evil but overcome evil with good. Provide an environment for learning with enjoyment rather than connecting it with pain as a goal for training.
Continued. There is always a timer on purpose Ecclesiastes 3:1- ff. Purpose has both an original intent and an end result. Everyone has a specific purpose Every soul has a cap on their spiritual thermostat and cannot exceed it. Proverbs 19:21 One can plan all day long but God is not obligated to your plan he might but he is not obligated. The closer one gets to being in purpose the stakes are raised by God and Satan.
continued When purpose is not known, abuse is eminent. You can t preach the hell out of people In fact when you preach the Gospel people will in turn focus their hell upon the preacher. Spiritual Growth demands that one s threshhold for pain allows the Holy Spirit to move in order for one not to remain the same and rot Heb 5:7-8, 1 Corinthians 10:13 It is possible for individuals to become stuck in an acceptance for pain thinking they are spiritually mature. There is a timetable on ones spiritual development and growth that is typically not aware in the individual. When you point out the problem within people, you potentially will become the problem. Can t confuse numerical growth with spiritual growth one soul at a time starting with mine.
Spiritual Growth Spiritual growth occurs in levels One may understand a principle yet not understand the depths of their understanding. When one s spirit is initally challenged three things typically happen 1. Rejection 2. Resistence 3. Reception Creativity grows out of chaos God does his best work when we are at zero Originality - When the world was created it was void and without from and then God moved and what appeared to be chaos became beautiful Christology is the highest form of any theological study real change occurs first in the value of the soul in order for the spirit and body to effectively change (Hebrew shamah) 95% of ones awaken hours are spent focusing on values that occur in the programming of ones soul in the childhood of their home. 5% of ones awakening hours are spent attempting to live in new self purpose Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom

Crisis Grows Others Also Daniel 3:28-30 [Then] Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed [be] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.
