APOSTOLIC YOUTH CORPS Over the past 6 years the Apostolic Youth Corps has become more involved in bring the Gospel to the world. Over the next two years, the leadership of the Crusaders will be expanding the reach of the AYC even further. The plan is to give every Apostolic Crusader an opportunity to be involved in missions. Our plan is to coordinate 8 mission trips each year, with five mission trips in the US, and three missions to various locations around the world. AYC WORLD MISSIONS AYC will be expanded to three international Mission trips per year, spending up to 12 days in various countries all over the world. Each mission will be unique to the needs of that country. For example in Europe, we will work with Rev. Tony Adams and pass out 50,000 flyers to promote their work and conduct musical concerts in various parts of the city. In Haiti, we ll create food packages for the hungry and distribute them to those in need. In Uganda we will minister to over 700 orphans who attend our Hope Refuge School in the Village of Kachomo. Finally, our Australia/PNG mission will lead us to help build a church and conduct a Holy Ghost Crusade. For more information in each International mission please download the registration form. Live out your mission and join us on one of our AYC mission trips. AYC U.S. MISSIONS Our mission in the USA will take us to five different cities. During this mission trip, a Friday evening service will kick things off, and be used to equip and empower everyone with a love and passion to reach the lost of this world (and specifically that city). After the service we will break off into sessions for 40 minutes, and end the evening with a city wide prayer meeting. Then on Saturday morning we will meet back at the church to pass out flyers promoting a Saturday afternoon Block Party. The Apostolic Crusaders Department will finance each weekend with our Overflow offering. Registration is not required for these events, however we will be take up an offering during the Friday night kickoff. Please prayerfully consider attending one of our AYC USA mission weekends. BIBLE QUIZZING Deuteronomy 6 gives us clear instruction that the Word of God should be in our hearts, and to repeat them again and again talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. (Deut 6:7) Bible Quizzing gives students a structured curriculum for memorizing scripture, and a fun, competitive environment to test their knowledge and improve their memorization skills. Quizzing also keeps students engaged on the local church level, in Christian Education and school competition, and culminates each year in a National Bible Quizzing tournament held at National Youth Convention. HOW TO START A BIBLE QUIZ TEAM First and foremost PRAY! If you are a young person with a desire to quiz, you need an adult to help your team PRAY. God will give you someone. If you are an adult who would like to start a quiz team within your church PRAY. EVANGELIST DEPARTMENT MARK BISHOP If you feel you have the burden DIRECTOR to quiz or lead a group of young people MARK through JOHNSON the journey of Bible SECRETARY quizzing and you have prayed, now is the time to speak to your pastor. It is very important to have the support of your man of God. Once you have the support of your pastor, it is time to reach out to the young people of your church. Please do not think only smart kids can do this. That is not the purpose of Bible quizzing. The main goal of Bible quizzing is to get the most kids to learn the most verses. God honors the time put forth to learning His Word and He will bless every effort. Be very careful not to give too much material to a student too soon. Breaking the material down into monthly segments is highly suggested. You do not want to overwhelm the student with too much information too soon. There is an age limit for senior quizzing. A quizzer must be at least 12 years old but not yet 26 years old on January 1st of the year he or she is going to quiz. Marital status DOES NOT affect a quizzers eligibility to quiz in the ALJC. Please contact our Bible Quizzing Director, Sis. Ronda Lloyd, to officially register your team. Visit apostoliccrusaders.org for more information on getting started with Bible Quizzing.
