You can find up to date information at www.ucc.org/disaster. Considering we woke to the first winter storm of the year, Zion s annual Cookie Walk was very successful! Our bakers really came through by providing a delightful array of baked goods, and we had steady attendance throughout the morning despite the snow and even had a line-up of folks waiting to get started at one point! (additional pictures page 5) We made $1236! A portion of the profits will be used for Zion families-in-need Christmas funding and the remainder will help fund Ladies Fellowship projects. A big THANK YOU to all our bakers, to all who worked at the Cookie Walk and to all who purchased goodies! A special thank-you goes to Ned T. and crew, Chris N. and Mikey M. for snow removal of our parking lot and walkways so our customers and workers could safely enter and exit the narthex. A happy and blessed Christmas to all! Cinda N. and Sharon M., co-chairs Cookie Walk Recap! Prayer Concerns We extend our love and prayers to:... Ladies Fellowship News Page 5 Ladies Fellowship: a note from Kim F. Zion UCC Ladies Fellowship has been my passion for the last ten plus years. Our ladies are the hardest working, most loyal and best advocates for Zion that can be found. I have loved and enjoyed working alongside our ladies. But, my leadership role as president of this wonderful group is coming to an end as of January 1, 2018. It is time for new ideas and new leadership. I am willing to help new leaders plan for 2018. The transition can be smooth and effortless. We just need someone to head our organization and take over leadership. As I said, our ladies are the best! They really lead themselves. And I plan to stay involved I just need a reprieve. So, with a heavy heart, I am resigning from the Ladies Fellowship Board. I hope and pray that someone steps up to help Cinda and Delores with the monthly organization. As I said, I will help with the transition and be available for questions. The horizon is open to whoever takes my place. Blessings and love to you all, Kim F. COOKIE WALK PHOTOS MITTEN TREE PHOTOS These pictures do not really show the beautiful handicraft of the Bridgman Public Library knitters. We were again simply blown away by their talents and generosity. We are delighted to divide up the goodies this year. Giving half to the food pantry sponsored by Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and the other half to Bridgman Public School s holiday drive. We are so happy to help share warmth to those in need.
