When In Amor, Livros Amor (Love Books) Your participation in this year s Summer Reading Program (SRP) from June 1 to August 31, 2016 is deeply encouraged. There will be a Roman-Amor celebration waiting for you at the end of SRP. Rewards will be given when your entry about the love you ve read or book title is drawn. Drop entries at Zion Library. What s New? is a new discussion opportunity at Zion of Amor that will talk about current concerns raised in the three new monthly religious magazines in the Zion Library: Sojourners, Christian Century, and Christianity Today. The discussion will be on the third Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m. The first one is Thursday, June 16 th at 1:30 p.m. A moderator will begin each gathering with an overview and encouragement that your interest will be discussed. We hope this is a way to expand our interest and knowledge of religious life around the world and the possible implications for us. Foundation scholarship program where up to 60% of the cost is paid by the Foundation. 55 and Older Drivers Education Class to be offered at Zion If you are a driver and are over the age of 55, you are eligible to receive a 10% discount on your auto insurance. The refresher class offered next month at Zion costs $22 and is taught by a trained professional instructor (Phil Bachman) from the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center in St. Cloud. The session is informative and interesting, including videos, discussions and handouts. The four-hour refresher class is at Zion on Wednesday, June 15 from noon to 4:00 p.m. FREE FOOT CARE CLINIC What: Foot care for those who cannot care for their own feet adequately When: Tuesday, June 28 th 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Where: Zion Lutheran Church of Amor Who: Anyone in need bring and/or recommend a friend. How: Call Marlys Baumann for an appointment at 218-371-1866 What to bring: A basin; two towels; one washcloth; your own clippers if available; your own lotion if you prefer. Volunteers are needed for assistance (can do shifts if unable to assist entire day). If you have a basin from a hospitalization to donate, please give them to Marlys a day or so in advance so they can be sanitized. Call Marlys for more information. Thank you! 6
