West Zion Announcements Please have all bulletin announcements to the office by Thur. noon. Check the bulletin board for more announcements. 1. Please give a warm welcome to Pastor Derek King joining us from Eden today! Pastor Brad is preaching at Eden. 2. Nov 10 th Thursday -- Christian Homemakers will continue to cut/design/sew comforter tops for MCC Comforter Blitz. For those that want to start early, we will have things ready to start at 4 PM. Soup will be provided for supper. We will continue after supper. Business meeting held approx. 7:30 PM. We will have offerings to cover WD Women in Mission and the basket we did for Pine Village benefit. Come any time that works for you. 3. All women are invited to our next SPACE (Sisters Praying And Casting Encouragement) gathering Sat., Nov.12 (a week earlier than usual due to Thanksgiving). We will meet at Carla Stucky's house at 413 Park Lane for breakfast, fellowship and prayer from 9-10AM. A babysitter can be provided if needed, please call Carla at 620-386- 0414 if you would like to attend and need child care. 4. Join us for an open game night on Sunday Nov.13 from 6:00-9:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall! Bring your favorite games and snacks to share. We will take a collection and order pizza. 5. Nov 13th Sunday -- Noon Potluck followed by budget meeting. Please bring 1 or 2 large dishes per family unit. We will follow with the budget meeting approx. at 12:30 pm. 6. Christian Homemakers will have a Nativity showcase Sat., Nov. 19 9AM-1 PM during the Christmas open house. This showcase is open to the town. We will have refreshments and sell peppernuts. On November 20, we will celebrate a combined Mission Sunday at Eden with guest speaker James Krabill of Mennonite Mission Network. Worship begins at 9:30 AM, followed by a Q&A discussion time with James at 10:30. The FEWZ youth group will serve a fundraiser fellowship meal following the discussion time. 8. Yearbook change: Kirk and Carla Stucky's new address is 413 Park Lane, Moundridge. Their mailing address is still PO Box 728. Their phone number 620-345-6471 no longer works, use the cell numbers listed in the yearbook. Also, Taylor's address is now 115 Shelby Ct. 8. Worship Team has decided to purchase 10 poinsettias for Advent decoration this year. Kirk and Carla will take care of these poinsettias, but because no stepped forward to handle the memorials, we will forgo that part. The poinsettias will be up through Sunday, January 1, at which point they will be given away or disposed of. 9. Hanging of the Greens is Nov. 20 at 6:30PM. Everyone is invited to help decorate the church, or set back and enjoy the decorations as they are put up. A Tasting Bee will follow in the fellowship hall and we invite everyone to bring their favorite finger food to share with the church. General Announcements 10. Election Day Communion Service, November 8, 7:30PM, at the Northridge Community Center. All members of the Moundridge community are welcome to participate in a communion service following the close of the voting booths.
