St. Peter Parish From Deacon John Cambridge, MA Dear Friends, What a great joy to be ordained as a Permanent Deacon and to be assigned to St. Peter Parish! My wife, Jenny, and I are so grateful to all of you for your warm welcome. As you know, Deacons assist at Mass, give homilies, and perform a number of sacramental and liturgical roles. I am also planning to be active in visiting those members of our community who are not able to attend St. Peter s in person. This includes visiting residential and assisted-living facilities and visiting individual parishioners in their homes. In addition, I hope to join with Doreen Gulledge in our outstanding music ministry, as I have been a musician all my adult life. We are blessed to have the wonderful leadership team that we have at St. Peter s. I am deeply grateful for being able to join this wonderful community, and am here to help however I can.
