Man as Prophet, Priest, & King in his Family

As the Prophet we Teach

As the Priest we Pastor

As the King we Lead

Joshua 1:2 (NLT) Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

Joshua 1:6 (NLT) Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.

Joshua 1:16 (NLT) They answered Joshua, We will do whatever you command us, and we will go wherever you send us.

Joshua 1:17 (NLT) We will obey you just as we obeyed Moses. And may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses.

Joshua 1:18 (NLT) Anyone who rebels against your orders and does not obey your words and everything you command will be put to death. So be strong and courageous!

As the King/Leader of your Family God wants you to Be Strong & Courageous!

Joshua 1: 7a (NLT) Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you.

Joshua 1: 7b (NLT) Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.

Joshua 1: 8a (NLT) Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it.

Joshua 1: 8b (NLT) Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

Joshua 1:9 (NLT) This is my command be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 3:15b (NLT) But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river s edge

Joshua 3:16a (NLT) the water above that point began backing up a great distance away at a town called Adam, which is near Zarethan.

Joshua 3:16b (NLT) And the water below that point flowed on to the Dead Sea until the riverbed was dry.

Joshua 3:16c (NLT) Then all the people crossed over near the town of Jericho.

As the Priest/Pastor of your family God wants you to Step First!

Joshua 3:17a (NLT) Meanwhile, the priests who were carrying the Ark of the Lord s Covenant stood on dry ground in the middle of the riverbed as the people passed by.

Joshua 3:17b (NLT) They waited there until the whole nation of Israel had crossed the Jordan on dry ground.

As the Priest/Pastor of your family God wants you to Stand Firm!

Joshua 4:1-2 (NLT) When all the people had crossed the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua, Now choose twelve men, one from each tribe.

Joshua 4:3a (NLT) Tell them, Take twelve stones from the very place where the priests are standing in the middle of the Jordan.

Joshua 4:3b (NLT) Carry them out and pile them up at the place where you will camp tonight.

Joshua 4:8a (NLT) So the men did as Joshua had commanded them.

Joshua 4:8b (NLT) They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan River, one for each tribe, just as the Lord had told Joshua.

Joshua 4:8c (NLT) They carried them to the place where they camped for the night and constructed the memorial there.

Joshua 4:21 (NLT) Then Joshua said to the Israelites, In the future your children will ask, What do these stones mean?

Joshua 4:22 (NLT) Then you can tell them, This is where the Israelites crossed the Jordan on dry ground.

Joshua 4:23 (NLT) For the Lord your God dried up the river right before your eyes, and he kept it dry until you were all across, just as he did at the Red Sea when he dried it up until we had all crossed over.

Joshua 4:24 (NLT) He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the Lord s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the Lord your God forever.

As the Prophet/Teacher of your family God wants you to Memorialize God Moments!

Joshua 4:23a (NLT) For the Lord your God dried up the river right before your eyes, and he kept it dry until you were all across,

Joshua 4:23b (NLT) just as he did at the Red Sea when he dried it up until we had all crossed over.

Joshua 4:24 (NLT) He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the Lord s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the Lord your God forever.

Will you lead your family as A Prophet/Teacher who will Memorialize God Moments A Priest/Pastor who is willing to Step First & Stand Firm A King/Leader who is Strong & Courageous?
