St. Peter Parish Cambridge, MA From the Pastor s Desk There are certain times in parish life that stand out as being special moments of real grace. I think our Holy Week and Easter celebrations qualify as being one of those special moments of real grace. From beautiful, appropriate environment; to carefully proclaimed Word; to beautiful, expressive music; to effective celebration of ritual; to artfully constructed reflections; to wonderful attendance and participation it was inspiring! Thank you to the many, many people who contributed so much to all the celebrations. April 3, 2016 LIFT Worship Night - All Ages! Tuesday, April 26, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Cardinal Spellman High School, Brockton Join LIFT Ministries for an inspiring night of worship at Cardinal Spellman High School, 738 Court Street, Brockton, with speaker Fr. Sean Connor. The night will include uplifting music, a relevant talk, confessions, and Eucharistic Adoration. Come and worship with hundreds of Catholics from around the Boston area. This event is free to attend and open to all ages. Pray for Our Children Preparing to Receive First Communion As our children prepare to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist in May, we invite the St. Peter community to support and encourage them through prayer. We invite you to sign the picture board, located in the transept left of the altar, to become a prayer partner to the children. Please include them in your daily prayers and with the community during weekend liturgies. Know that our children appreciate the power of your prayers, which the Lord always hears. Thank you for supporting our children s spiritual growth. Society of St. Vincent de Paul How We Help - Who We Are We offer person-to-person services to those in need or who are suffering financially, personally or spiritually. We make no distinction in who we serve. We are a Catholic lay organization of men and women dedicated to loving our neighbors through helping them with their needs. We are organized locally as our own SVDP conference at St. Peter Parish. All year we are called to make the true meaning of Easter come alive in our hearts and in our families by reaching out to those in need. We count on your generous support to fulfill our mission. You will find SVDP donation boxes at the church doors. If you need help or know of anyone who does, please call the parish office in confidence (617-547-4235 x12) and a member of our ministry will respond as soon as possible.
