DIRECTIVES FOR THE TEACHERS Last week we began our study on the subject of Fruitfulness as taught by our man of God during the International Cell Leaders Conference 2018. This week, we would study the concluding part of the subject. All Bible Study Class teachers are expected to carefully study the outline before the cell meeting date. During the meeting, please ensure your members have their Bibles and all the Scriptures in the outline are read; members have to look into their Bibles while the Scriptures are read for proper assimilation. Also make use of the Workbook during the Bible Study as it is designed to help your members retain and remember the knowledge gained during the study. Thank you and God bless you! 1
INTRODUCTION Last week, we commenced our study on the Topic: Fruitfulness. It was established that God expects us to be fruitful in every good work and has given us everything we would require to be productive every day. Studying the Scriptures, we learnt two key ways to be fruitful which are: 1. To be consistently connected to the Source (which is God s Word) 2. To bear fruits of righteousness through Soul winning In today s class, we would continue our study on Fruitfulness by looking at the following: 2
FOCUS ON HIS PURPOSE Develop and consciously grow your love and passion for the gospel, letting nothing distract you from God s purpose. Jesus wants us to believe in Him and what He came to do. Satan s most effective strategy is distraction, so even as many things will come to you as beautiful ideas, you must be careful not to stray from God s plan and desire for you. The Bible tell us in Matthew 6:25, 32-33 (KJV), Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment... (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek :) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of 3
God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. True fulfillment and satisfaction in life is only derived from living for the Lord and fulfilling His dream. Many get carried away by their needs or their personal dreams; that s wrong. Take your eyes off yourself; pursue and fulfill God s dream. If you serve him with all your heart, you will not lack any thing. 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMPC): And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. Therefore, let your motivation always be God s voice; show His love and accomplish His purpose. 1
FELLOWSHIP with the HOLY SPIRIT The Holy Spirit makes you fruitful and productive, and this is one of the most beautiful evidences of the presence and influence of the Holy Spirit in your life. This is because He brings in an anointing that affects your life and causes things to work. One sure way to fellowship with the Holy Spirit is by speaking in other tongues; this is the language of God and it s the purest form of communication. 1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV) says For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. If you speak in tongues often, your spirit will become sensitive to God and His voice would be clear to you. 5
Another benefit of speaking in tongues is the purification of your Faith. Jude 1:20 (AMPC) says, But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit. Choose to speak in tongues more than ever. Edify your spirit; improve yourself spiritually. Flourish and make progress in your life by fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit. 6
CONCLUSION Your fellowship with the Lord is unique to you. He doesn t have, has never had, and will never have a copy of you. Therefore, stay focused on His Word; do not let anything or anyone separate you from God s plan and purpose for you. As you do, you will discover that you are fruitful in all things. Meditate on this passage of Scripture, Jeremiah 17:7-8 (AMPC) [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit. 7
