The Vision Your Gift TRANSFORMS LIVES LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING WEEK OF PRAYER December 3-10. 2017 Our Church Goal: $6,000 We will receive the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering throughout the month of December.

Focus on...the Pastor s Message page 2 Dear Church Family, Merry Christmas! I love saying that. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I love to experience all the wonder that comes with Christmas. Of course, there is the wonder of children at this special time of the year, but my greatest excitement comes with the celebration of the birth of my Savior. It never gets old reading and sharing the story of Christmas. It never gets old singing the songs of Christmas that explain the wonder of the newborn Savior. It never gets old listening to Christmas musicals led by children and adults. Could I challenge you this year to experience the wonder of Christmas all over again! Not the hustle and bustle, but rather the WONDER and JOY that explains: Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. (Luke 2:11) Never forget: That day was for YOU! Jesus came to earth for you personally and we celebrate because of the difference His coming has made in our lives. Tell everyone you see MERRY CHRISTMAS this year. Use this season to express the joy that God has given you through the gift of His Son! As we close out 2017 I want to thank you for your faithfulness to the ministry of Mt. Carmel. There is a place for everyone in our ministry and if you have not found your place yet, please do so as we begin 2018. We can do more together than we can alone! In His Love, Pastor Paul Our video system to record our services has been out of service for a couple of months. This system allows us to provide DVD s for our Shut-Ins and others who request them. We are in the process of raising the funds needed to replace and update this system. We need approximately $2,500 to help purchase the equipment needed. To date we have received $2,555.00. If you would like to help provide for this ministry you may do so by placing your gift in an envelope marked Video System.

Focus on...information page 6 This is a record year for our drop-off location. There was a total of 5,794 shoeboxes packed, including 412 we received from our church. We appreciate each one of you that helped in any way, all the volunteers, those of you that made shoeboxes and most of all your prayers. We ask that you continue to pray for these children that will receive these boxes. This month we will be collecting Christmas cards to put in our shoe boxes for next year. Look for cards when they are on clearance or recycle old cards. (just tear off the part that has been signed and turn it into a post card. Thank you for participating in this year s OCC Shoe Box Assembly and year round supply gathering - it was a great success. Do you shop with Amazon.com? If yes, please consider using Amazon Smile.
