Order of the Arrow Nanuk lodge Great Alaska Council Boy Scouts of America My brothers, Lodge Chief Samuel Giacalone Lodge Adviser Benjamin Ormsby Lodge Staff Adviser Clifford Crismore Council Executive Luke Dossett Vice-Chief Adam Ward Adviser Steven Meyer Secretary Taylor Ellibee Adviser Ben Talotta Treasurer Adviser On behalf of our Lodge Executive Committee it is my pleasure to present the 2016 Nanuk Lodge Annual Report. It is filled with the highlights of our program successes such as hosting six different councils for the Western Region Section W-1N Conclave and the National Leadership Seminar at our beloved Camp Gorsuch. It also showcases the honorable work of our individual Arrowmen and what they have done for our Lodge and Council over the last year. Being Scouting s National Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow works to instill the values of Scouting in our members and present them in a meaningful way to others. We promote the values of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service as well as continue our strong commitment to Servant Leadership. Our program accepts new members, elected by their fellow scouts, four times a year. Those that answer this call experience more fun, fellowship, service and brotherhood than most people will experience in a lifetime. Our program not only provides a framework for this experience, but it changes the lives for those willing to serve. 1 This book is mainly dedicated to the service of the Arrowmen that answered their call to serve and in doing so achieved great things for themselves and our programs. In the recent years we have given thousands of man-hours to our camps, Council programs, and Scouts. Nothing that we accomplished in the past year would have been possible without our amazing and selfless leaders and Arrowmen mentioned in this report. This lodge is brimming with future leaders, who although may seem like ordinary Scouts, have strived, and accomplished great things in 2016. These are the people who make a positive impact on the lives of others and make a difference in our world. As you look through this book, please congratulate those individuals who made this past year s accomplishments possible and who have set the foundation for the future of this lodge.
