Marjorie Denise Smith, age 25, of Nashville, Tennessee, was born to Earth on December 9, 1982, and rose to Christ on July 12, 2008, after a recent diagnosis of Hamman-Rich Syndrome at a local hospital. Marjorie was baptized at an early age and professed her faith in Christ at Christ Church of the Nazarene. Her love for Christ extended into her love for music. She was an active participant in the music ministry. This participation included Praise and Worship at Christ Church of the Nazarene and Amazing Tones of Joy at Western Kentucky University; she was an active member of the Changed People Gospel Group. She attended Meigs Magnet School and graduated from Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet High School with Honors in May 2001. While in high school she was a member of Lambda Iota Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Marjorie furthered her education at Middle Tennessee State University on a full presidential scholarship. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a Certificate of Financial Planning from Western Kentucky University in December 2005. During her life, Marjorie visited Germany, Switzerland, and the Dominican Republic. She spoke fluent German and studied Latin, French, and Spanish.
