Questions Asked Why do We Stand When We Sing? An the Levites, of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God Israel with a loud voice on high. (2 Chronicles 20:19) Why Do We Clap Our Hands? O clap your hands all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. (Psalm 47:1) Why Do We Life Our Hands? Thus I will bless Thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in they name. (Psalm 63:4) Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. (Psalm 134:2) I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. (I Timothy 2:8) Why Do We Have Audible Praise Unto God? Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me bless His holy name. (Psalm 103:1) I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (Psalm 34:1) And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God (Acts 4:24) What Is Prophecy? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy? (Amos 3:8)

(I Corinthians 14:31) Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge (I Corinthians 14:29) Why Are Musical Instruments A Part of the Worship Service? Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the psaltry and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: Praise Him Upon the high sounding cymbals. (Psalm 150:3-5) And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps. (Revelation 14:2) Why Do We Tithe? Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. (Malachi 3:10)

And when they Heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, Thou art God, which hast made heaven and earth (Acts 4:24) Why Do We Anoint with Oil and Pray for the Sick? Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. (James 5:14, 15)
Some Scriptural Terminology THE ANOINTING The presence and the work of the Holy Spirit in a person s life. But the anointing which you have received of Him abideth in you (1John 2:27) EDIFY To build up. Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. (1 Corinthians 14:12) REMISSION god s pardon for sins; discharge from a penalty; forgiveness; as remission of sins. (Acts 2:38) CRUCIFY To put to death by nailing or binding to a cross; as Let him be crucified. Also, to treat cruelly. (Matthew 27:22) REPENT To regret; express sorrow for; have a complete change of heart; as (Judas) repented and brought again the thirty pieces of silver. (Acts 2:38) SANCTIFY To set apart as holy; as Sanctify them through thy truth. (John 17:17)
