! Throughout history, people have not had what it took to connect with God.! Before Jesus made the covenant with God on our behalf, humanity always broke whatever covenant they were in with God.!
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23!! That s not a moral judgment against humanity. It s an observa@on we all can see.
Exodus19:5- If you will listen to Me and carefully keep My covenant, you will be My own possession... and My kingdom of priests...! Exodus19:8- We will do all that the Lord has spoken.
Deuteronomy 5:33- Follow (do and obey) the whole instruction the LORD your God has commanded you so that you may live, prosper and have a long life in the land... Did they? Sadly NO.

We need something from God that we do not have and are incapable of achieving on our own.!
I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel... not like the one I made with their ancestors... For I will forgive their wrongdoing and never again remember their sin.!! Jeremiah 31:31,32, 34!
The Purposes of God are realized when we do what God wants us to do:!!! I will place My law within them and on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be My people.!! " " " " " " "Jeremiah 31:33!
The Law God writes on our heart is not the Law of the Old Covenant that was always broken. It is the Law of Love of the New Covenant. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself.!
Restoring Life to God s Purposes is not about perfection of life; it is about direction of life as we walk with God and follow Him.!!! As we begin doing the purposes of God we find the Presence of God.! I will be your God and you will be! My people.!
! We agree with God about our need and His provision of the New Covenant in Jesus.! Agreeing with God doesn't mean mental assent; it means we believe it enough to act like it is true.!
! People of the New Covenant Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you not recognize for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you? unless you fail the test?! II Corinthians 13:5!
! Agreeing with God means I gain an interest in what He is interested in and as I follow Him in those areas, I find Him working in me, for me and through me. It is like I am a partner with God.! We are partners of the promise in Christ Jesus of the good news.! Ephesians 3:6!
As we begin doing God s purposes we find a BIG problem: We need more than a good heart to follow God, we need a power we do not have.

Walking in the purposes of God requires the power of God.!! The power of God is released to us when we believe His promises.!! God has provided both His purposes and His power for us in the New Covenant Jesus made for us.!
! In Jesus Christ, we have ALL we need.! He does not just help us enough to get started on our way; He gives us all we need to run with endurance! and finish the race.! He is a great Savior.!
Believing the promises of God is where the power and provision of God are released. God s promises are all YES in Christ and the Covenant He made for us.
People of the New Covenant As we BELIEVE God s promises, we will RECEIVE God s provision. The order is not inverted.
In the New Covenant God has promised to give!! Release from the power of sin- 2 Corinthians 7:1... since we have such promises, we should wash ourselves clean from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, making our sanctification complete... ; 2 Peter 1:4 He has given us great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world through evil desires.!
! Refreshment, Renewal by the Holy Spirit - Acts 1:4... Wait for the Father s promise... You will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.! Restoration to His purposes - John 20:21 Peace be to you! As the Father has sent Me I am sending you.! Reward for faithful service Hebrews 10:36- After you have done God s will, you may receive what was promised.!
! We are living in the reality of the New Covenant when we are empowered by God s purposes and enabled by! His promises.! The promises of God are how we are able to do the will of God.!
!! Every one of God s promises are YES in Jesus -because of the New Covenant.! The old covenant was conditional-! If you do this, I will do this.! Now they are true and waiting on us! to believe them.!
! The promises of God are not enacted when we read them or hear them.! We must BELIEVE them and act like they are true to bring them to pass in our lives.!
The LORD is for me among! those who help me.! Psalm 118:7!!
