P2G 20 YEARS 2GETHER Join us to celebrate, learn, imagine, and love. Adventure tours and learning in Partnership regions all over Israel, and connections to Jewish communities across the globe As Partnership2Gether marks its 20th year, we invite you all of you who have devoted so much effort and yielded so much fruit to come and be counted among the more than 1,000 people who will join together for three four days of networking, exploration, and inspiration. P2G@20 is more than a birthday celebration; it is a chance to visit Partnership regions outside your own; explore off-the-beaten-path sites in Israel through the lens of Partnership2Gether; see with your own eyes the breadth, depth, and reach of P2G; witness the creativity and vision of your like-minded colleagues in other areas of Israel and the world; and bring back inspiration to your home Partnership. We will mark the achievements of the past 20 years while also providing a launching point for motivation and goals that will carry us into the next 20 years and more. P2G@20 is equally relevant for our long-time participants, those new to Partnerships, and those who are on their first trip to Israel. It will be another P2G opportunity to rally your communities around Israel, as we celebrate Israel s place in the hearts of global Jewry.

Monday night, April 4, 2016 Embracing each other and our collective accomplishments Feel the energy and warmth of the Partnership family. The opening event will mark our 20-year milestone, celebrate our shared values, and pay tribute to the communities, regions, and individuals who have spent 20 years building bridges, brick by brick.

Tuesday, April 5, 2016 Get out of your Partnership Zone. Part I: Dialogue, learning, and home hospitality in northern Israel From Carmiel and Nahariya all the way to Hadera, explore universal themes that touch or can touch all 46 Partnerships. We ll be traveling in groups that include both Israelis and our participants from overseas. Which of these adventures will inspire the next success in YOUR Partnership? SAMPLE TRACKS: If You Build It, They Will Come: This track will demonstrate how living bridge programs can be leveraged from capital investments. You will visit three high-profile educational facilities in the Northern Galilee Great Britain region that were built through Partnership support, and meet with beneficiaries of the Jewish identity and Jewish peoplehood programs that now take place in those facilities. Examples of people you will meet: Professional soccer players and doctors who are involved in an interfaith exchange Young Israeli adults who have traveled overseas to lead Israeli Memorial Day ceremonies and Israeli Independence Day celebrations in Jewish communities around the world Israeli university students who participated in their Partnership student exchange programs and now run LIMMUD in their Partnership region. The Pot of Gold in Every Partnership: This track will provide examples of how a Partnership region s natural resources, history, unique character, or natural beauty can inform the development of educational and cultural programs that connect Israelis with their diaspora peers, while also stimulating the local economy. You ll walk through sites in and near the Old City of Tzfat (Safed partnered with Rosh Pina, Hatzor, and Palm Beach), that were renovated with Partnership support, and gain an understanding of the far-reaching impact of those renovations for the city and for the Partnership. We ll dance to Klezmer tunes as the musicians wind us through Tzfat s back alley ways and on a trip back in time to the beginning of Kabbalah. The Magic of Music: Learn how the Nesher Broward County Partnership has used the international language of music to span miles, break barriers, and create harmony. As we walk along their Partnership Trail, you will experience (and enjoy the music of) the groups that use music to cement their living bridges: the school choir of the local Twinned School, participants of the Music2Gether delegation, and the Katom Tapuz choir. On Tuesday evening, all participants of P2G@20 both Israelis and those from overseas will be set up at the homes of local Partnership residents for dinner. Enjoy the memorable warmth of home hospitality, the signature experience of Partnership2Gether.

Wednesday, April 6, 2016 Get out of your Partnership Zone. Part II: Taking the soul train over the living bridge - to southern Israel Partnership2Gether has been a major player in the revolution taking place to uplift and revitalize Israel s southern regions. We will rent a train yes, all of us are hopping on board one train, specially chartered for P2G@20 to take us into cities and towns in the Negev, from Kiryat Gat to Eilat-Eilot. (Those choosing to go to Eilat will take a flight instead of the train.) The ride itself will give you a chance to meet personally with beneficiaries of P2G programs, before you disembark for your chosen tour track to explore inspiring programs that can spark ideas for your own Partnership. SAMPLE TRACKS: Leaders for a Jewish Tomorrow: This track will showcase one Partnership s strategic process of developing leadership, from elementary school, high school, and beyond. You will hear from the mayor of Be er Sheva (the city known as the capital of the Negev, partnered with Bnei Shimon and Montreal), who is himself a product of Partnership. We will then meet backstage at a local theater for an interactive experience: the actors, along with members of the P2G Steering Committee, will take you through their leadership-development programs and process. We will then go out into Be er Sheva and see first-hand how Partnership alumni have brought their ideals of renewal and community development into the city. Adventures in Jewish Identity: All Partnerships seek to develop and grow our constituents Jewish identities and their engagement with Jewish culture. The Negev town of Yerucham, partnered with Miami, is one of many with a diverse Jewish population, where Jewish culture is a plural term. In this track, you ll use your cell phone to participate in a techno scavenger hunt that will bring you face-to-face with a variety of Jewish ethnicities, stories, and lifestyles, evoking Jewish histories from eastern Europe, India, South America, and Morocco from the Tanach (Bible) to the Oral Law to Jewish renewal and lots in between. Harnessing the Power of Jewish Foods: In many Partnerships, the empowerment of women is serious business and translates to real profits for beneficiary families, and economic stimulus in the local regions. We will meet the founders of many moshavim (rural communities) who have graduated from P2G Women s Empowerment programs and monetized their traditional cooking into successful catering and tourism businesses. We will sample their delicious menus and hear from them how they grew from planting orange trees in the 50 s to serving orange-glazed duck in the 2000 s, and how they leveraged their farming of grapes into savory stuffed grape leaves for locals and tourists alike. Each track will end back at our base for a free night on your own with new and old friends in Tel Aviv.

Thursday, April 7, 2016 The power to imagine On Wednesday, instead of touring the Partnerships, the Partnerships will come to you. Four groups of around 250 people each will embark to one of four hubs, each built around a different theme. Each hub will host around six stations that demonstrate in interactive ways the creativity and impact of various Partnerships, all with a focus on the theme for that hub. Each hub will include one beit midrash station, where all of us, from around the world, can learn more together about Jewish heritage and culture, and, in some cases, hear from prominent speakers. Lunch at each hub will be held together with alumni of Partnership2Gether programs, with a return time to Tel Aviv of around 2pm. You will then have several hours of free time to relax, talk with new and old friends, and get ready for the Closing Gala. After three days of seeing first-hand (2Gether) the incredible impact that we have made (2Gether), the closing Gala is where we will let our hair down, dance the night away to music that makes our hearts thump and our blood flow, and raise our glasses to the next 20 years. We can t wait to see you there. *Details in this document are subject to change.

Make sure you are counted! Join us to celebrate, learn, imagine, and love. Registration will be through Da at Travel; specific instructions about how to register will follow.
