Did they (disbelievers) not then see it (with their own eyes)? Nay! But they used not to expect any resurrection. (40) After mentioning collectively about all the people who denied their messengers, Allah separately tells us about the people of Loot Alaihisalam, who committed a sin which no one before them had done homosexuality. 0 definite form. The Ahl Makka knew this town very well. Whenever they :ٱلق-ر 0 ي-ة< would travel, they would pass by this village. Sodom was in the north of the Arabian Peninsula. Allah is telling them you can see with your own eyes what happened with them. All different types of punishments rained down on them. Here, Allah mentions about the rain of stones. These stones were made of baked clay,

the way they People of the Elephant were stoned. The stones were named with the people they were supposed to hit. They would go inside his head and travel through his body and exit from his back. As if to clean him and the environment. That s why the penalty for a married adulterer is stoning to death. Then Angel Jibril Alaihisalam picked up the entire town and threw them upside down, because they had turned nature upside down. destroys. rain which :مطر Ghayth: rain which is useful. question for taajub and inkar. Allah is asking why didn't they :أ-ف-ل-م 0 ي-ڪ*ون*وا 3 ي-ر- و 0 ن-ه-ا 7 see the signs? accident, seeing with their eyes. Eg if we are on the road and we see an :راى don;t think this is for random. Allah wants us to see it. Whatever our eyes see is a great form of nurturing. One of the salaf would say, that whatever his eyes would see and ears would hear, he would take it to increase his faith about Allah. How? By observing the situation and relating it to Allah's actions. So many people repented because they would sin, and they saw a car accident and they realised that death can come anytime, so they repented.

The Ahl Macca didn't benefit from Allah's ayaat because they didn't see it in 3dimension, only in 1 dimension. Their problem is that they didn't hope for being raised up. This is the sickness of their heart. They wouldn't hope for resurrection. If a person doesn't believe in the resurrection, he will not observe the signs and use them to increase his faith. In ayah 21 and 11 of this surah, Allah tells us that the disbelievers don't hope or expect to meet Allah, and they bely the day of judgement. This is what their problem is. و.ق.ال. ٱل B ذ)ين. ل. ي.ر& ج+ون. ل)ق.ا 0 ء.ن.ا ل.و& ل. + 0 أنز)ل. ع.ل.ي& ن.ا & ٱل م.ل.E 0 ٮHك.ة+ أ. و& ن.ر.ىE ر.بBن.ا? ل.ق.د) ٱس& & ت.ك 3 ب.ر+وا ف)ى 0 أ. نف+س)ه)م& ) و.ع.ت.و& ع+ Z ت+و[ا Z ك.ب)ير]ا ) ٢١ And those who expect not a Meeting with Us (i.e. those who deny the Day of Resurrection and the life of the Hereafter), said: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" (41) Allah is telling us about the attitude of the disbelievers with the Messenger Sallallahu alaihi wasallam. The one who doesn't believe in akhirah will utter words carelessly, will disregard Allah's reminders. We need to appreciate the reminders from Allah. Allah's use of ر- أ-و 0 ك- indicates that Allah is talking to Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, addressing him. The disbelievers would only treat him with mockery. Is there anyone like him SallAllahu alaihi wasallam in his gentleness, kindness, his manners in the whole world? No. He is the one who wants to guide them. But they are mocking him. People will throw stones on a tree which has fruits. A believer is like a fruit-bearing tree.

Making fun of the messengers is kufr, disbelief. Because the deen is a serious matter. Not for fun. Allah says in the quran that we should not mock anyone. But mocking the Messenger of Allah is an even more serious matter. Their mockery is instead advertising for Islam, because everyone gets curious, ok who is this man they are mocking? But did Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam ever get angry for himself? Never. But when someone said something about the deen, or against Allah, only then would he get angry. So he would be angry only for the sake of Allah. If you are on the way of the truth, don;t worry about the.وكفى بربك هاديا ونصيرا disbelievers. Allah is sufficent for us. The Quran keeps us firm, it is our guidance and it consoles us. Whatever we face in the way to Allah, we will find the answer in the Quran. IF you really feel that you are poor to Allah, ya rabbi, I don t know what to do, Allah will make that ayah dealing with your situation come in front of your eyes. He will make you rich with His signs. Allah can send a crow as a teacher, a criminal as a teacher. If a person wants to learn, he will learn from anything and anyone. If he doesn t want to, he will underestimate the teacher, even if he is the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. Everyone was a witness to Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam's truthfulness. Befroe he became Nabi, they used to respect him. The Jews earned Allah's anger because they didn't accept Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam because he was from the Arabs, not from the Jews. We need to observe Allah's actions in our life. So if someone advises you, think, Allah wants to teach me something. Don't see the person who is advising you. Even if it is from your child.

(إ<ن ڪ-اد- ل-ي*ض< ل}ن-ا ع-ن 0 ء-ال<ه-ت<ن-ا ل-و 0 ل- F أ-ن ص-ب-ر 0 ن-ا ع-ل-ي 0 ه-ا 7 و- س-و 0 ف- ي-ع 0 ل-م*ون- ح< ين- ي-ر- و 0 ن- 0 ٱلع-ذ-اب- م-ن 0 أ-ض-ل} س-ب<يل) ) ٤٢ "He would have nearly misled us from our âlihah (gods), had it not been that we were patient and constant in their worship!" And they will know when they see the torment, who it is that is most astray from the (Right) Path! (42)

They are accusing Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam of wanting to mislead them, of brainwashing them. In Islam, we are using our intellect, using our eyes and ears and brains to think. This is Islam. It goes with the nature. It is not brainwashing. So they see the truth as falsehood and falsehood as truth. Only the truth is worthy to fight for, to be patient for. The Quran is the best reformer. It changes us without us realising. When the disbelievers would listen to the Quran, it would really affect them. They would be inclined to the truth, but they were patient on their disbelief and held themselves back from it. They believe Allah is their creator, sustainer, but they don't believe that he is the only one to be worshipped. So they would have several idols for different purposes health department, child department, etc. Why are you confusing yourself? So distracting. Be one slave for one master. Allah is the only one who can solve all our problems, bring all the goodness to us. They would say that our parents have been worshipping the idols. But faith is not inherited. Everyone is responsible for his decision. Islam is the only religion which has submission to the will of one God only

tawheed- the oneness of Allah. There are some temples built on high mountains and they have 1000 or so steps to reach there. And they patiently climb the steps because they need something from the idols. Will those idols even be able to see them when they reach there?this patience on disbelief, on falsehood is suffering. This is dispraised patience. It is misery. For the believer, if even a thorn pricks him, his sins are forgiven him. The journey to Allah is not with feet. It is with the heart. Allah doesn t want us to hurt ourselves. He commands us to do some things according to our capabilities and we will get reward for it. And Allah helps us to be patient in the process. We don;t need to torture ourselves to get to paradise. We ask Allah for aafiyah. Ameen. Alhamdulillah for the blessing of Islam. Sometimes people commit a sin and he is patient on committing a sin. A lady said, she used to work for long hours in the day, and in the night, she would go to nightclubs. So she used to be patient for the sins. This is misguidance being patient on falsehood. They will surely know the reality on the day of judgement when they see the punishment, i.e. who are really the misguided ones. The Quran is direct and

to the point and it gives us true confidence because we know it is from Allah. The disbelievers are also confident, but that confidence takes them to the punishment. If we are following Quran and Sunnah, we will never go astray. Belief in Allah is being confident in Allah.
