Ways to prepare a set of Bible Passages cards: 1 Write the passage on one side of a file card and the reference/content summary on the other side. Suggestion: laminate the cards. 2 Download the ready-to-print pages below. Use 24 lb. or 28 lb., 8-1/2 x 11, paper and print on both sides, starting with page 2 (flip pages on short edge). Cut out the cards. This makes two sets of Bible Passages cards. Suggestion: laminate the cards. The cards can be used several ways: 1 A single student can use the cards to sharpen his or her knowledge of where key passages are found. 2 Play a Bible Passages game. Shuffle both sets of Bible Passages cards and stack them passage side up. Players take turns drawing the top card, reading the passage aloud, and guessing where it is found in the Bible. If they guess correctly, they keep the card. If not, the other players guess. If no one guesses correctly, show everyone the answer on the back of the card and return it to the bottom of the pile. At the end, the player who has collected the most cards wins. The game can also be played starting with the reference side up. Then players must recite or paraphrase the passage. 3 Use both sets of cards. Place the passage sides of one set face up on a table. Place the reference/content summary sides of the other set face up. Mix and match. Make this a group activity by having students help each other match the passages and references. With information on both sides of the cards, the activity is self-correcting. 4 Spread the cards on a table, passage side up. Give the students one or more questions to answer by studying the passages. For example, (1) What is a godly person like? Find as many answers from the passage cards as you can. (2) What are the outcomes of living a godly life? Find as many answers from the passage cards as you can. (3) Notice that the biblical Way of life is especially related to others: God, Christ, fellow man. Why is this? (4) Choose three of the cards and write your own content summary for each passage without looking at the back. Copyright 2017 Meriden Christadelphian Ecclesia 1
