THE LORD S PRAYER: A PATTERN FOR PRAYER 1. Our Father a. Declare that Jesus has provided the way for you to enter the Father s presence through the blood of Jesus (John 14:6; Eph. 1:9). i. Ask the Lord ongoing revelation of the Father s fiery affection for you (Eph.3: 18-19). ii. Thank God for the ability to call Him Father, by virtue of the blood of His son Jesus (Eph. 2:13; 1 John 1:7). 2. Hallowed be Your Name, means placing God on the throne on your heart. a. God s Name, His Acts and His Glory are inseparable. God does not have a name that does not have an equivalent action. When you declare the redemptive names of God over your life and family the corresponding action of that name is manifested in your life when combined with faith. b. Jehovah Tsidkenu The Lord our Righteousness i. Declaration: Jesus who knew no sin has became sin so that I may become the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5: 21). c. Jehovah M Kaddesh The Lord who sanctifies i. Declaration: God has forgiven me of my sins and delivered me from the dominion of sin. Thank you for the blood of Jesus that does not overlook sin, but cleanses me of all unrighteousness. I declare that my private pleasure and public pleasure is acceptable to God s standards of holiness described in His Word. d. Jehovah Shalom The Lord who is Our Peace i. Declaration: God is filling me with peace that surpasses all understanding in the midst of chaos, frustration and negative 1

circumstance. I declare that the Prince of Peace is ruling my household with His Peace. The peace of God is flowing from my innermost being releasing peace upon all who come into my presence. e. Jehovah Shammah The Lord who is Present i. Declaration: God is present with me, present in me and is with me in every situation. He will never leave me nor forsake me. f. Jehovah Rapha The Lord who Heals i. Declaration: God has redeemed me from all sickness and restores health to my body, soul and spirit (Ex. 15:26; Psalm 103:1-5). g. Jehovah Rohi The Lord who is My Shepherd i. God causes me to know His reassuring voice throughout the day and guides me around the traps of the enemy. h. Jehovah Nissi The Lord who is My Banner i. Declaration: God causes me to be victorious over all Satan assignments as I submit my life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. 3. Thy Kingdom Come is a declaration. The actual translation is Come thy kingdom, be done your will. When you make this declaration you are declaring that whatever happens in the Kingdom of God will happen in your life. When you make this declaration you are releasing the awesome dominion of God in the arena you are praying for. Declare the dominion of God in the following relationships: i. Your life Declare the release of the rule of God in every area of your life, which includes your mind, will, emotions, body, finances, etc. Since the Kingdom if righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Ghost, ask the Lord to release these attitudes to reign in your life and your relationships with everyone. 2
