St. Ann s Parish 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time September 9, 2018 I wrote in a previous column about all the work that was going on in the school over the summer. As I write this, we are putting the finishing touches on our new remedial learning center (formerly the convent) at St. Ann s School, which will house our Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 programs. We did extensive work modernizing the building, and I am very pleased at the outcome! We ve done everything we can to make the building as attractive as possible. The entrance stairs were completely redone so we now have a safe entry into the building. We put all new floors in the classrooms and the hallway. We gave everything a fresh and cheery coat of paint with cute wallpaper borders to really make the children feel happy while they are at school. There are brand new bathrooms and a new water fountain upstairs, and we removed the plants that were blocking the light from entering the Pre- K 4 classroom, so it is now brighter and even more attractive. I m really excited about our new program for 3-year-olds. One parent told me that he was paying over $8,000 per year for daycare for his son, and this is only for three half-days a week. We offer a FULL DAY program 5 days a week for only $6,500! Spaces are still available, and it is not too late to send your child to us for this year. If you d like to tour our new facility, please call the school at 914-965-4333. I personally give a high priority to our school. I am a product of 12 years of Catholic schooling and a firm believer in the quality academic and spiritual education that only a Catholic school can deliver. I tell the parents every year that I will spill every drop of my blood to keep our school as effective as possible and to make sure every penny of tuition is well-spent. While our Pre-K 4 program is full, all other grades from Pre-K 3 through 8 th grade have places available. Come and check us out! I m sure you will not be disappointed by what you will find in our quality, family-style, Catholic atmosphere. If you have any questions, please don t hesitate to call the school or myself.
