Confession and Forgiveness (Moment of silence) Holy God, as we gather today, some of us are moving so fast and some of us are barely moving. In this moment of silence, center us Lord for you are our center. Gracious God, for all the times we forget you are our center. Center us, O Lord. For all the times we focus on all our worries, hassles and concerns. Forgive us, O Lord. For all the times we listen to other voices, but not yours. Center us, O Lord. For thinking and living as though we are separated from you. Forgive us, O Lord. Hear the Good News in Christ you are forgiven. You are connected. You belong. And there is nothing that can separate you from your center and the love of God in Christ Jesus. Thanks be to God! Hymn Jesus Loves Me, This I Know jesus loves me 3

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And also with you. Prayer of the Day Dear God, Thank you for coming to meet us where we are, amid the challenges and hardships of everyday life. Draw us to you, heal us, and send us out again to be agents of your healing love in the world. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen Anthem 9:00 I Will Give Thanks Joseph Martin High School Choir 10:30 Speak, O Lord arr. John Ferguson New Dimension Singers Lesson Deuteronomy 6:1-9 Now this is the commandment the statutes and the ordinances that the Lord your God charged me to teach you to observe in the land that you are about to cross into and occupy, so that you and your children and your children s children, may fear the Lord your God all the days of your life, and keep all his decrees and his commandments that I am commanding you, so that your days may be long. Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe them diligently, so that it may go well with you, and so that you may multiply greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. 4 *** We welcome children to Dock Children s Education at this time.*** Ensure your child is wearing a nametag with name and grade level. See front of yellow bulletin insert for pickup locations. Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Anthem Psalm 150 Alleluia! Alleluia! O praise ye the Lord, praise God in His temple. Praise ye the Lord, in the firmament of His power. O praise him for his might and the greatness of his wonder. O praise him, praise him according to his majesty. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord with the sound of the trumpet. Praise the Lord with the lute and harp Praise Him with the timbrel, the timbrel and the dance O praise him with organ and instruments of strings. Praise him upon the loud cymbals. Praise him upon the high sound cymbals Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Alleluia! Alleluia! César Franck St. Andrew s Choir Psalm 8 O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established; what are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them? Yet you have made them a little lower than God, and crowned them with glory and honor. You have given them dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under their feet, all sheep and oxen, And also the beasts of the field, and whatever passes along the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! 5

Hymn God Is Here abbot s leigh Sacrament of Holy Baptism 10:30 Jet Robert Montgomery Child of Lauren and Carl Montgomery Apostles Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. 6 Continued on next page

He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen Holy Gospel Mark 9:30-35 All (sung): Glory to you, O Lord. People were bringing little children to Jesus in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it. And he took them up in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them. The Gospel of the Lord. All (sung): Praise to you, O Christ. The Lord s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen We believe that Jesus Christ is truly present in the bread and wine and grants us the gift of God s grace and forgiveness. All are welcome to receive this gift. Amen Post-Communion Prayer Benediction Jesus, you are our bread of life and cup of salvation. As your children, it is here you come to us and bless us. It is here we are fed and nourished, forgiven and set free. Help us to not only take this blessing, but also to be a blessing to our world in need. In Christ s holy name we pray. Amen The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace.
