Isaac s Ideas Well May is here! May is somewhat of a transitional month, in that we move from spring into the grips of summer. It is a time when we experience the revelation of new things in nature. May is a time of change. One of the wonderful things about this month is that the weather is usually as good as it gets. It is not yet too hot and it has surly past the time of significant cold. It is just a pleasant time it is a time when things will reach their very best. The weather is perfect for new life and for reaching heights for life already in existence. May is when we see the fulfillment of the new plants, which have spring forth during the previous months. We see these plants coming into their own maturity and developing into readiness; and we will soon experience these very plants producing fruits of their very own. You see, May is a month of growing and reaching completion also. I can easily see how our spiritual lives here at Tallaweka is somewhat likened to this situation of May. You see, recently we have experienced some bumps along our way. We have lost members of our fellowship to death; as always happen in a church, some just went away; and others stopped attending for various reasons. Some of these have been long supporting and contributing members of our fellowship. As a result, one could ask how we are to continue and survive during these difficult times. Just like in May, God expects new life to spring forward and mature into producing real fruits! You see, as these people are no longer within our fellowship; it frees up all kinds of perfect opportunities for those who, for whatever reasons, may not have already been completely engaged. God expects us to become more spiritually mature each and every day of our lives. He saves us; so that, we can become more Christ-like. You see, it is our responsibility to step forward into these areas of service and become all that God wants us to become. I believe that God is smart enough and plans-ahead enough to always have someone waiting in the wings for spiritual and service opportunities, as they are vacated. The fact is that God may have a special purpose right here at Tallaweka; one that you perhaps have never thought of doing. I encourage you to be most mindful of the things that are Godly in nature and are required to make a church not only function, but operate exceptionally. Assist in it becoming exceptional! You see, our church will only be what God wants it to be and it will grow only as the people within it grow and develop. If we, the people, won t grow and expand our service to God; then, our Church will surely not grow either. And as a result, not only will our personal lives suffer; but, God s Kingdom will suffer greatly and lost people will remain lost! So dearly beloved, I encourage you to step up to God s plate and expand your outreach. Accept something new that God has planned for you. Choose the opportunity to make a difference start today! Love in Christ; Bro. Isaac

We are planning a Splash Into Summer party for Sunday May 22 from 2:00-5:00. This will be a great time for the children to start their summer vacation and we will also be registering children for VBS. We need your help to make this event a success. We need the following items for the party which will also be used for our SURF SHACK VBS: beach balls, splash balls, squirt guns, plastic kiddie pools, inflatable kiddie pools, sprinklers, sidewalk chalk. We will also need to borrow several garden hoses to run to the playground area for the waters life and sprinklers. Please be on the lookout for these fun summer items and bring them to Kendra. A sign up sheet for snacks will be available closer to time. Thank you!!
