MISSION NEWS from Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church Tuesday, June 28, 2016 Questions, comments or to unsubscribe contact Pastor Dave Fisher at 303-941-0668 or dave.fisher51@gmail.com. Also visit us on the web at www.spiritofhopelcmc.org. THIS SUNDAY AT SPIRIT OF HOPE This coming Sunday, July 3, is the Sunday of our nation s Independence Day weekend. Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church will celebrate the holiday with the singing of patriotic hymns and songs. We will also conclude our reading of 1 Corinthians 14 during worship. Paul gives some practical and challenging instructions on how to conduct public worship. Remember we are now meeting at our new location of Pine Lane Elementary South (6475 E Ponderosa Drive, Parker, CO). Fellowship begins at 9:00 am followed by worship at 9:30 am. THANK YOU FROM SEMINARIAN, WENDY POCH As you are aware, Spirit of Hope Member, Wendy Poch, has been accepted for seminary studies at Beyond the River Academy (BTRA). She officially begins studies this week toward becoming a pastor. Wendy sends the following thank you. Dear Brothers and Sisters, I would like to thank you for supporting me, and my family, as I begin my new seminarian journey. Truly this is a journey that we will be taking together in so many ways! Thank you for being such an important part of this special time. Thank you to those who have made donations to the seminarian fund for my education with BTRA. There were enough donations made for my first of six payments to be fully covered. My family and I are extremely grateful and tremendously blessed by that support! Thank you to those who have been praying for me, as well as for my family, during this season in

my life. I truly can't imagine being on this journey without your prayer support! I would be very grateful for continued prayer support, as my BTRA classes officially begin July 1st and for the next six months I will be overlapping seminary as well as the university where I am finishing my BA (which I have been working on full time since last October.) These two schools, as well as becoming more deeply involved in ministry and personal study, will keep me quite busy! Prayer and financial support from you, the tugging the Lord has put on my heart, and the strength, grace and peace that God daily and so richly gives us all are the fuels that keep me going strong. Thank you for blessing my family, and me, with the love and support that you have shown. Your Sister in Christ, Wendy Poch YOUTH NEWS! The youth mission team would like to thank the members and friends of Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church for their prayers, donations, and support for their recent mission trip to the White Mountain Apache Reservation. Thank you for allowing the team to share their stories of how God was at work with you when they came back. In the coming weeks there will be a slide show running which will allow you to get a better glimpse of what their trip was like! Thank you, again, for sending the team, and for being such a vital part of the mission work that God has called Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church to participate in.
